Hai Ba Trung Ward: 14 teams compete in firefighting, rescue and salvage

The contest had the participation of 14 teams with more than 100 people from fire prevention and fighting inter-family groups, civil defense forces of residential groups and units in the area.

Vice Chairman of Hai Ba Trung Ward People's Committee Nguyen Tien Quang said that the teams demonstrated their mastery of legal regulations on fire prevention and fighting, basic knowledge of fire prevention and initial situation handling.

The teams performed impressively in using portable fire extinguishers to extinguish the fuel/oil fire. The members of the inter-family team coordinated well and quickly in rescuing victims, moving property and deploying firefighting teams using water hoses.

“The precision in operations, agility in handling situations and team spirit were clearly demonstrated by the inter-family groups and civil defense forces, reflecting the "4 on-site" goal of the "Inter-family group for fire prevention and fighting safety" model, commented the Vice Chairman of Hai Ba Trung Ward People's Committee.

The 2025 Fire Fighting and Rescue Competition was organized by Hai Ba Trung Ward to raise awareness, perception and responsibility of the masses in fire prevention, fire fighting and rescue, as well as to widely propagate the role and practical significance of the model "Fire Prevention and Fire Fighting Inter-family Safety Team".

This is also an opportunity for the teams to exchange and share experiences and knowledge on fire prevention, fire fighting, rescue and first aid in handling fire, explosion, incident and accident situations when they occur in residential areas.
