Linh Nam Ward: Accompanying and creating conditions for young people to turn ideas into action

The conference took place in an open atmosphere, with the participation of representatives of the Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Fatherland Front Committee of the ward, socio -political organizations and a large number of union members and youth from 18 youth unions of residential areas, schools and agencies and enterprises.

At the conference, representatives of youth in residential group 8 proposed that the ward have a policy to support employment, especially for young people returning to their locality after joining the army.

Pointing out the reality of students after graduation wanting to open small businesses, but having difficulty accessing capital, many young people hope to be guided to connect with businesses and create stable jobs. In addition, the Secretary of the Youth Union of some schools in the ward said that implementing Youth Union activities is still difficult because many young teachers have to travel far, their family conditions are still difficult, and the long distance makes it difficult to mobilize members to participate in the movement.

The young people recommended that schools and authorities pay more attention to support policies to help young teachers feel secure in their work and have opportunities to develop their abilities.

Along with that, some opinions mentioned the use of electronic cigarettes among young people, considering this a "painful problem" that requires coordination between schools, families and authorities.

Responding to and resolving issues of concern to young people, Chairman of Linh Nam Ward People's Committee Nguyen Van Duc said that the total outstanding debt from the Policy Bank in the area has exceeded 8 billion VND. The ward will continue to prioritize youth start-up projects, especially models associated with digital transformation, green economy and community services.

The ward leaders also directed the specialized departments and offices to coordinate with the ward Youth Union to implement feasible proposals: Building a propaganda topic on social evil prevention and control, strengthening digital transformation training, expanding practical experience activities, promoting moral education , lifestyle and behavioral culture among youth. At the same time, the ward will continue to coordinate with the Social Policy Bank, Social Insurance and the Center for Vocational Education and Employment to connect capital sources, vocational training and support sustainable start-ups for youth.

Regarding the field of education and school union work, the Chairman of the Ward People's Committee said that he will coordinate with schools to review and create conditions regarding time and place of activities for union members and young teachers; at the same time, encourage the Ward Union and Women's Union to build a model of "Young female teachers' club" to strengthen connection, sharing and encourage the spirit of young teachers.

Regarding environmental protection and building a civilized urban lifestyle, the Chairman of the Ward People's Committee said that he has assigned the urban force, the Ward Police and residential groups to strengthen inspection and handling of illegal dumping sites; at the same time, installing surveillance cameras in areas where violations frequently occur. At the same time, the ward will launch the movement "Each Youth Union branch has a green - clean - beautiful street" with the youth union members as the core.

Chairman of Linh Nam Ward People's Committee Nguyen Van Duc affirmed: "The opinions at the conference will be compiled to be implemented immediately with specific actions. The government will always accompany and create conditions for young people to turn ideas into actions."
