The terraced fields in the mountainous commune of Yen Thang (Lang Chanh district, Thanh Hoa province) are picturesque, peaceful and poetic during the flooding season.
About 130km from Thanh Hoa city center, Yen Thang commune is located in the west of Lang Chanh district, Thanh Hoa province. This place has a large population of Thai people, mainly doing agriculture all year round.
The entire Yen Thang commune has nearly 45 hectares of terraced fields, mainly in Peo, Trang and Van villages. For many years, the terraced fields in this locality have been an interesting tourist destination.
These days, the terraced fields in Yen Thang commune are in the flooding season, and people are busy planting rice.
The irrigation system is led by people from the stream to the fields.
