The Minister of Industry and Trade has just signed and issued Decision No. 1970/QD-BCT on the Ministry's Action Plan to implement Directive No. 18/CT-TTg dated June 18, 2025 of the Prime Minister on implementing tasks and solutions to promote domestic and foreign trade to boost trade activities in 2025.
In this decision, the Minister Industry and Trade Nguyen Hong Dien requested the Department of E-commerce and Digital Economy to preside over and coordinate with e-commerce floors and large domestic and international online business platforms to implement e-commerce connection programs, regional linkages in e-commerce, cross-border e-commerce to promote the consumption of products and goods in the online environment, focusing on supporting small and medium enterprises, cooperatives, craft villages, and local production facilities to access and expand online sales channels.
Launch programs to promote consumption of Vietnamese goods and local products through e-commerce platforms and social networks and various e-commerce business models, thereby promoting digital transformation in production and business activities for enterprises, enhancing brand value, local image as well as expanding local consumption markets and aiming for export.
Strengthening the organization of in-depth training and development programs to improve legal knowledge and skills in e-commerce and cross-border e-commerce for management staff, supporting industry and local enterprises and cooperatives... guiding enterprises to effectively grow digital technology solutions in e-commerce, data analysis (Big Data), application of artificial intelligence (AI) and technologies supporting digital transformation; thereby finding breakthroughs to improve the capacity of export enterprises, being able to participate deeply in the global value chain and flexibly adapt to new business models in the international market.
In addition, Minister Nguyen Hong Dien also requested the Trade Promotion Agency to preside over and coordinate with agencies and organizations to strengthen the implementation of diverse and effective activities. promote serving import and export, including implementing large-scale, in-depth trade promotion programs for each industry in key markets such as: EU, USA, China, Japan, Korea, ASEAN...
The Import-Export Department, the Foreign Market Development Department, and the Domestic Market Management and Development Department, depending on their scope of responsibility, shall strengthen trade promotion activities, boost exports as well as develop the domestic market.
