Lieutenant General Tran Duy Giang warmly welcomed Lieutenant General Khamphet Sisanone and members of the delegation of the General Department of Logistics of the Lao People's Army to visit and work in Vietnam. Lieutenant General Tran Duy Giang emphasized that over the past years, the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos have been increasingly consolidated and developed. This is the basis for developing a good cooperative relationship and mutual assistance between the Ministry of National Defense and the logistics sector of the two armies.

For his part, Lieutenant General Khamphet Sisanone emphasized that the visit of the Lao People's Army General Department of Logistics took place in the context of the two countries successfully organizing the "Vietnam-Laos, Laos-Vietnam Solidarity and Friendship Year 2022"; expressing his belief that the visit will contribute to strengthening the special friendship and solidarity between the Lao People's Army General Department of Logistics and the Vietnam People's Army General Department of Logistics in particular, and between the Lao People's Army and the Vietnam People's Army in general. On this occasion, Lieutenant General Khamphet Sisanone conveyed the greetings of General Chansamone Chanyalath, member of the Politburo of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of National Defense of Laos to General Phan Van Giang, member of the Politburo, Deputy Secretary of the Central Military Commission, Minister of National Defense of Vietnam.

At the meeting, Lieutenant General Tran Duy Giang and Lieutenant General Khamphet Sisanone informed each other about the logistics work in each country's Army. Accordingly, with the spirit of proactiveness and actively overcoming difficulties, over the past time, the logistics sector of each country's Army has comprehensively deployed all aspects of work, achieved many important results, and well met the requirements of the tasks in the new situation.

Lieutenant General Tran Duy Giang and Lieutenant General Khamphet Sisanone assessed that the General Department of Logistics of the Vietnam People's Army and the General Department of Logistics of the Lao People's Army have closely coordinated and implemented, and successfully completed cooperation contents, notably: Exchange of delegations, training, and participation in the first joint rescue exercise between the armies of Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia... The two sides agreed to continue to closely coordinate with each other, organize and implement, and successfully complete cooperation tasks assigned by the two countries' Ministries of National Defense; strengthen information exchange and sharing to improve the quality of management and direction, and build a comprehensively strong logistics sector of each country's army.
