On January 21st and 22nd, the Vietnamese Ambassador to Laos, Nguyen Minh Tam, received more than 20 high-level Lao delegations, including representatives from the Central Party Office, ministries, departments, the Fatherland Front, and mass organizations, to commemorate the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam and the traditional Lunar New Year of the Year of the Snake 2025.
During the meeting, Lao leaders extended their congratulations to the Vietnamese Embassy in Laos on the occasion of the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam and the Lunar New Year of the Snake 2025. They also reviewed the history of the formation and development of the Communist Party of Vietnam and the strong friendship between the two Parties throughout history; and congratulated Vietnam on its great achievements in the reform process, especially the outstanding results in domestic and foreign affairs in 2024.

Lao leaders emphasized the great friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos. They also expressed deep gratitude for the valuable support and assistance that the Party, State, and people of Vietnam have given to Laos throughout its struggle for independence and in its current national construction and development.
Speaking at the event, Ambassador Nguyen Minh Tam affirmed that the achievements Vietnam has made over the past 95 years have always been closely linked to the sincere and unwavering support and assistance of the Party, State, and people of Laos.
Ambassador Nguyen Minh Tam expressed his hope that the two countries would continue to stand shoulder to shoulder, promote comprehensive cooperation, effectively implement high-level agreements, and make positive contributions to the development of both countries. The Vietnamese Embassy in Laos will continue to play a bridging role, promoting increasingly effective and sustainable bilateral cooperation.
Ambassador Nguyen Minh Tam also highly appreciated the close cooperation between the ministries, departments, agencies, the Fatherland Front, and mass organizations of the two countries, affirming the special priority of the Party, State, and people of Vietnam in supporting Laos' socio -economic development, building new rural areas, poverty reduction, human resource training, as well as expanding foreign relations and international integration.
