Promoting people-to-people exchange, bringing Vietnam - Laos relations to new heights

On the afternoon of December 5, in Hanoi, Ms. Ha Thi Nga, member of the Party Central Committee, Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF), cordially received the delegation of the Central Committee of the Lao Front for National Construction led by Ms. Inlavan Keobunphan, member of the Party Central Committee, Permanent Vice President of the Central Committee of the Lao Front for National Construction, who visited the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.

Expressing her joy at welcoming the high-ranking delegation of the Central Committee of the Lao Front for National Construction, Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Ha Thi Nga respectfully conveyed the best wishes of Ms. Bui Thi Minh Hoai, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front to Ms. In-la-van Keo-bun-phan, Permanent Vice President of the Central Committee of the Lao Front for National Construction and the working delegation.

On behalf of the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Vice President Ha Thi Nga respectfully sent her best wishes to the Delegation; and congratulated the Lao Party and State for organizing the solemn and successful celebration, parade, and march to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the National Day of the Lao People's Democratic Republic (December 2, 1975 - December 2, 2025) and the 105th anniversary of the birth of President Kaysone Phomvihane.

According to Vice President Ha Thi Nga, over the past 50 years, under the wise leadership of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, the Lao people have achieved great victories in the national liberation revolution, building and developing the country. In that glorious cause, the Lao Front for National Construction, with its important role, has gathered and united all classes of people, promoted all resources, strength and creativity to make great contributions to the common victory of Laos.

Ms. In-la-van Keo-bun-phan thanked the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front for their warm welcome and affirmed: Over the past time, Laos and Vietnam have successfully organized major commemorative events of the two countries. The success of the activities demonstrates the development of the two countries, their long-standing traditions and the spirit of solidarity to successfully complete the set goals. That also speaks to the contribution of the two countries' Fronts, contributing to gathering the great solidarity strength of the two peoples.

Ms. In-la-van Keo-bun-phan thanked the Party, Government and people of Vietnam for helping Laos over the past time; at the same time, she expressed her joy at the success of the 50th Anniversary of the Liberation of the South, National Reunification and the 80th National Day of Vietnam on September 2, at the event attended by the General Secretary and President of Laos. These activities once again affirmed the maturity and demonstrated to the world the solidarity between the people of the two countries.

In particular, after the event of the Vietnamese high-ranking delegation attending the ceremony, parade, and march to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the National Day of the Lao People's Democratic Republic (December 2, 1975 - December 2, 2025) and the 105th anniversary of the birth of President Kaysone Phomvihane, especially the success of the meeting of the two Politburoes, the meeting of the two Prime Ministers and the meetings to promote investment, it shows the side-by-side cooperation and solidarity of the people of the two countries and the common goal.

Based on the good friendship between the two Parties, two States, two Governments, the two sides believe that in the coming time, the Fronts of the two countries will coordinate more closely to promote the commitments set forth by the two Politburoes and the two Governments; continue to strengthen cooperation and exchange delegations; promote people-to-people exchange activities to share experiences in order to effectively implement the innovation viewpoints of the two Parties and two States in the new period, thereby continuing to promote the spirit of great solidarity and realize the content of the Vietnam - Laos Joint Statement during the visit of General Secretary To Lam to Laos on December 1-2, 2025.

On the basis of inheriting and promoting the tradition of special solidarity between the two countries, the two sides agreed to deepen the connotation of the Vietnam - Laos relationship to a new height, namely the relationship of "Great friendship, special solidarity, comprehensive cooperation, strategic cohesion", demonstrating a common vision, intertwined strategic interests and long-term companionship for sustainable development, self-reliance and common prosperity of the two peoples.
