Data Science leads the benchmark score of Ho Chi Minh City University of Transport

Combined admission (method 3) is the main method of Ho Chi Minh City University of Transport (UTH), in addition to direct admission according to regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training and priority admission according to the school's regulations.

The comprehensive admission method uses the candidate's best academic results: Grade 12 transcript score; High school graduation exam score; Ho Chi Minh City National University's (HCMC) competency assessment test score.

Candidates who do not have the National University of Ho Chi Minh City's National High School Graduation Exam scores will choose to replace the National High School Graduation Exam scores with their 12th grade transcript scores or high school graduation exam scores.

Calculation formula:

- Admission score: UTH120 = 0.4 * Max (k1*DGNL; k2*Academic score of the entire 12th grade; k3*Graduation exam score) + 0.3*Academic score of the entire 12th grade + 0.3*Graduation exam score + Priority points (if any).

- Total grade point average for the entire 12th grade year = [Subject 1 (Semester 1 + Semester 2) + Subject 2 (Semester 1 + Semester 2) + Subject 3 (Semester 1 + Semester 2) + Max (Subject 1; Subject 2; Subject 3)] * 30;

- Graduation exam score = [Subject 1 + Subject 2 + Subject 3 + Max(Subject 1; Subject 2; Subject 3)] *30;

Note: k1, k2, k3 are coefficients determined to convert the equivalent results between the candidates' scores. The Admissions Council decides the value based on the data of candidates registering at UTH.

Priority points (if any) = Priority points according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training + Total incentive points according to the school's regulations (Meeting one of the following conditions: (1) Meeting 1 of 6 priority admission criteria; (2) Students from high schools with UTH alumni graduating with honors in the last 3 years; (3) Students from high schools with UTH students contributing to the school's activities and development; (4) Students are children of corporations and businesses that are partners of the school.
