On the afternoon of June 28, the Department of Home Affairs held an online conference to review the work of the first 6 months of the year and deploy tasks for the last 6 months of 2024.

In the first 6 months of the year, the Department and the Home Affairs sector have closely followed the work program, directions and solutions set out at the beginning of the year, ensuring the completion of key tasks. Notably, timely research and consultation with competent authorities to amend, supplement and perfect institutions and propose amendments and supplements to policies in the fields of work of the Home Affairs sector.
Complete the appraisal and submit for approval the Project on job positions of administrative organizations and public service units in the province to ensure quality; continue to arrange and perfect the organizational structure, and advise on perfecting the staff.
Focus on advising on the implementation of the reorganization of district and commune-level administrative units in the 2023-2025 period in the province to ensure the set goals and roadmap; provide specific guidance on the arrangement and consolidation of the organizational apparatus, and implementation of policies for civil servants, public employees, and workers during the reorganization.
Continue to effectively implement the overall administrative reform program; innovate emulation and reward work, promptly develop and advise on the promulgation of emulation and reward regulations and reward guidelines in line with new regulations of the Central Government.
Strengthen inspection, examination and effectiveness of state management of beliefs, religions and documents and archives; improve the effectiveness of state management of youth, associations, funds, mass mobilization and democracy.
However, internal affairs still have difficulties related to the Job Position Project, unresolved administrative boundary issues; the order and procedures in the process of building and advising the Provincial People's Committee to submit to the Provincial People's Council to issue a Resolution stipulating mechanisms and policies are still overlapping; the coordination of departments, branches and sectors in advising and proposing contents related to the arrangement of the organizational apparatus is still slow; administrative reform, digitization of administrative procedure settlement results, implementation of software and information systems to serve the work of the sector still have many limitations... These are the contents that were focused on discussing at the conference to find solutions to remove and better perform the tasks set out in internal affairs in the last 6 months of 2024.
