Tax industry's state budget revenue in 2 months reached 24.3% of estimate

According to the General Department of Taxation, 53/63 localities have increased revenue compared to the same period in 2023, 10/63 localities have lower total revenue compared to the same period in 2023; 37/63 localities have good progress in implementing the budget (over 20%); and 26/63 localities have low collection progress (under 20%).

As of the end of February, the tax authority had issued 3,017 value-added tax refund decisions with a total refund amount of VND 21,687 billion, equal to 12.7% of the value-added tax refund estimate for 2024.

The General Department of Taxation also said that up to now, 84 foreign suppliers have registered and been granted tax codes through the Electronic Information Portal. Of these, 67 foreign suppliers have declared and paid taxes according to the law. In the first two months of 2024, the total tax paid by foreign suppliers is 2,030 billion VND.

To carry out the task of managing budget revenue under the direction of the Government, the Prime Minister, and the Ministry of Finance , right from the first months of the year, the entire tax sector has launched an emulation movement to strive to complete the state budget revenue estimate for 2024; synchronously and drastically deploy solutions to strengthen revenue management, prevent revenue loss associated with promoting administrative procedure reform, creating favorable conditions for businesses and taxpayers.

In addition, strongly deploy the application of information technology; focus on inspection and examination; strengthen propaganda, dialogue, and answer questions for taxpayers.
