E-commerce major has the highest benchmark score at University of Economics

Candidates for the 2024 national high school graduation exam

* With Admission method by results of the National University's capacity assessment exam Ho Chi Minh City in 2024 ( method 4 ) , the training industry with the highest standard score is e-commerce with 945 points. Of the 33 training industries/majors at UEL, there are 6 training industries/majors with a qualifying score of over 900 points, 29 training industries/majors with over 800 points.

This method has 13,524 applications with 31,361 wishes. The University of Economics and Law uses the results of both rounds of exams for admission. Candidates admitted by this method are in the Top 25% of candidates with the highest scores in the competency assessment exam. VNU-HCM

The average benchmark score in 2024 is 874 , of which the average score for majors in the economic field is 863 points, the business field is 890 points and the law field is 849 points.

* Method 5 - Admission based on international certificate results (IELTS, TOEFT, ...) combined with high school academic results or SAT, ACT certificates/International Baccalaureate (IB)/A-level certificates. This year, the School received 2,431 applications with 7,583 admission wishes. The highest international certificate score in this method is IELTS 8.5, SAT 1560. The number of applications with IELTS 7.0 or higher submitted to the School accounts for more than 36% of the total number of applications.

To apply by this method, candidates must meet one of the following conditions:

+ Considered by international English certificate combined with high school academic results: Candidates have an average high school academic score of 7.5 (on a 10-point scale) and an international English certificate equivalent to IELTS 5.0 or higher. In which, the admission score is the total converted score of the international English certificate multiplied by a factor of 2 and added to the average score of the 3-year high school transcript (6 semesters).

+ Consider SAT or ACT test results: Consider standardized test results: SAT (Scholastic Assessment Test): Candidates must score 1200/1600 or higher; ACT (American College Testing) must score 27/36 or higher.

+ Based on A-level certificate or International Baccalaureate (IB) diploma: Candidates use a combination of 3 subjects (including Mathematics), each subject's score must be from 80/100 points or higher (equivalent to A); International Baccalaureate (IB) diploma must be from 32/45 points or higher.

Method 2: Priority admission according to the regulations of Ho Chi Minh City National University, there are 3,475 applications with 9,931 wishes. These are candidates with excellent academic performance in 3 years of high school or are members of the team participating in the national excellent student exam, studying at 149 high schools according to the regulations of Ho Chi Minh City National University (which are specialized high schools, gifted high schools or high schools in the group of schools with high high school graduation exam results in recent enrollment years). The admission score of this method is the total average score of grades 10, 11, and 12 of 3 subjects in the admission subject group registered by the candidate. In 2024, all majors/specializations of UEL will have a benchmark score of 72.10 points or higher (on a 90-point scale). The average admission score of this method is 81.66 (average of 9 points/subject).

Method 1a: Priority is given to direct admission according to the university admission regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training (Article 8, Clause 2, Circular No. 08/2022/TT-BGDDT), with 25 applications. Method 1b: Priority is given to direct admission of excellent and talented students from high schools nationwide according to the regulations of Ho Chi Minh City National University. There are 175 applications with 441 wishes. These are candidates in the group of 5 excellent students with the highest average score of 3 years of high school. Each high school is only allowed to introduce 1 student to a unit of Ho Chi Minh City National University. In 2024, the training major with the highest standard score according to this method is Marketing with 28.6 points (30-point scale).
