On August 24, pepper price in Gia Lai increased to 143,500 VND/kg.

(GLO)- Today (August 24), the domestic pepper market maintained stable transactions in many localities. Particularly in the two provinces of Gia Lai and Dak Lak, pepper prices increased by 1,000 VND/kg, staying at 143,500 VND/kg and 146,000 VND/kg.

Same as yesterday, pepper in Lam Dong province is currently purchased by traders at 146,000 VND/kg; while in Ho Chi Minh City and Dong Nai province, the price is 144,000 VND/kg.

This week, domestic pepper prices increased sharply by 2,500-4,000 VND after a series of "stagnant" days.

Also today, pepper prices in Indonesia continued to decrease compared to yesterday, while the remaining countries remained stable.

Specifically, the price of Indonesian Lampung black pepper is at 7,129 USD/ton; the price of Muntok white pepper is currently purchased at 9,966 USD/ton.

The Malaysian pepper market continued to move sideways, with ASTA black pepper purchased at USD 9,600/ton and ASTA white pepper at USD 12,800/ton. Pepper prices in Brazil were purchased at USD 6,000/ton.

Similarly, the current export price of 500g/l Vietnamese black pepper is 6,240 USD/ton; 550g/l is at 6,370 USD/ton and white pepper is at 8,950 USD/ton, stable compared to yesterday.
