Practically celebrating the 133rd anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2023), on May 12, in Hai Son commune, Mong Cai city, the Vietnam Youth Union of Quang Ninh province coordinated with Quang Ninh General Hospital to organize the program "Young doctors follow Uncle Ho's teachings, volunteer for community health" at the provincial level in 2023.
This is an annual activity directed by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union, organized nationwide on the occasion of Uncle Ho's birthday; with the goal of gathering and uniting young doctors and young people to participate in activities to care for, protect and improve people's health.
At the festival, young doctors provided consultation, health check-ups, and free medicine to over 2,500 people.
Also at the program, Provincial Bank Youth Union, Youth Union of Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board and Duc Anh Electric Vehicle Company donated 10 bicycles worth 25 million VND in total to students in difficult circumstances, hoping that they will continue to strive to study, practice and improve in life.
The provincial festival “Young doctors follow Uncle Ho’s teachings - Volunteer for community health” is a meaningful activity to promote the spirit of volunteerism and initiative of union members and young people in the health sector, especially outstanding individuals in the campaign “Outstanding young doctors”; create an environment to practice professional ethics, improve professional skills, and foster love for the profession among union members and young people in the health sector.
Before that, program participants offered incense at the Po Hen Martyrs Monument, Mong Cai City.
