For the first time, the event took place in the middle of the fruit ripening season, attracting the participation of gardeners in Dong Nai; stalls selling traditional cakes, local cuisine ; stalls displaying and selling OCOP products (One Commune One Product Program). In particular, at the VHDLAT Week, visitors can experience virtual reality tourism products, using 3D/4D technology to explore landmarks: Tran Bien Temple of Literature, Nhon Trach Martyrs Temple, Sac Forest War Zone, etc.

Sweet fruit region of Dong Nai

With the theme “Dong Nai Tourism - Returning to the land of sweet fruits”, VHDLAT Week has become a fruit festival in the middle of the industrial city, attracting a large number of people and tourists from near and far.

Ms. Tran Thi Thu Trang, Director of the Provincial Tourism Promotion Center, the unit responsible for organizing the VHDLAT Week, shared that in order to introduce to visitors from near and far famous specialty fruits such as rambutan, durian, mangosteen, Tan Trieu grapefruit..., this year's VHDLAT Week took the theme of Returning to the Sweet Fruit Land to honor the fruit specialties of Dong Nai.

VHDLAT Week also has a number of virtual reality tourism product exhibition activities using 3D/4D technology, virtual tourism models such as: Tran Bien Temple of Literature, Nhon Trach Martyrs Temple, Sac Forest War Zone... Besides, many beautiful photos of the land and people of Dong Nai attract viewers.

Ms. Trang said that the special highlight in this year's fruit display space is the model of the Tran Bien Temple of Literature Center created from the province's specialty fruits. Not only demonstrating the delicate art of fruit-bearing, the Tran Bien Temple of Literature model from fruits also promotes the famous landmarks of Dong Nai, local specialties, contributing to promoting tourism development associated with agriculture in a green and sustainable direction.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu, a tourist from Ho Nai 3 Commune, Trang Bom District, said that every year when the Cultural and Historical Week takes place, Ms. Thu brings her family to visit and enjoy the food. This year, it is held during the fruit ripening season, so her family continues to visit to enjoy Dong Nai fruits. Visiting the Cultural and Historical Week, Ms. Thu was impressed with the model of Tran Bien Temple of Literature made of fresh fruits from Dong Nai. Ms. Thu shared: “Tran Bien Temple of Literature is known as a historical and cultural symbol of Dong Nai. When I first stepped through the gate of the Cultural and Historical Week, I was very surprised to see the model of the temple made of fruit, which is very unique and beautiful, so there are always many people taking pictures as souvenirs.”

Culinary culture space

Coming from the land known as the “fruit capital” of Dong Nai, gardeners in Long Khanh city have impressed guests with gifts of rambutan bouquets. Mr. Nguyen Van Hung, manager of the Cau Dau Glamping Ecological Area in Hang Gon commune, Long Khanh city, said that this year, gardeners in Long Khanh were able to participate in the province's cultural festival, so they displayed and introduced local specialties, tours, and ecological destinations to introduce to visitors. Mr. Hung hopes that through the VHDLAT Week, Long Khanh will have more people interested in and experiencing Long Khanh fruit gardens.

VHDLAT Week is also a gathering place for traditional cake artisans from some provinces in the Southwest region such as: traditional cake making facility of artisan Kim Dep, vermicelli with fish sauce stall. In addition, the week also has the participation of the Provincial Chefs Association performing and serving Dong Nai specialties such as: fried sticky rice, grapefruit salad, etc. Mr. Nguyen Van Thinh, Chairman of the Provincial Chefs Association, said that during the 3 days of the event, the association's chefs took turns on duty, performing and serving specialties to visitors. Coming to the culinary space of the Provincial Chefs Association, visitors have many delicious dishes to enjoy, especially local specialties.

Sharing messages at the Cultural and Historical Week, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Le Thi Ngoc Loan said that the Cultural and Historical Week of Dong Nai province in 2025 is part of a series of activities responding to the National Tourism Year 2025 with the theme "Hue - Ancient Capital, New Opportunities"; aiming to welcome congresses at all levels and the 12th Dong Nai Provincial Party Congress.

According to Ms. Le Thi Ngoc Loan, with the theme "Dong Nai Tourism - Returning to the land of sweet fruits" taking place from June 20 to 22, the program has many rich and attractive activities such as: introducing the model of Tran Bien Temple of Literature made from fresh fruits; tourism space, culture, historical relics and traditional handicraft products of Dong Nai; displaying and introducing OCOP products, cuisine, specialties, folk cakes from provinces and cities such as: Tay Ninh, Binh Duong, Binh Phuoc, Tien Giang, Long An, An Giang, Hai Duong, Binh Thuan... Ms. Loan hopes that the VHDLAT Week will leave a deep impression in the hearts of visitors.
