Nghe An strives to become a well-off province by 2030

By 2045, Nghe An will be a province with rapid, sustainable and comprehensive development.

Attending the conference were Ms. Truong Thi Mai, Politburo member, Permanent member of the Secretariat, Head of the Central Organization Committee; Politburo member, Head of the Central Economic Committee Tran Tuan Anh; Deputy Prime Minister Le Minh Khai; Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Nguyen Khac Dinh, along with many leaders of central ministries, branches and key leaders of Nghe An province.

The conference was held online with 30 district-level bridges, affiliated Party Committees, 625 commune-level bridges, affiliated Party cells with about 42,000 delegates attending.

Resolution 39 of the Politburo aims to build and develop Nghe An province commensurate with its position, role, and importance, worthy of being the hometown of President Ho Chi Minh; focus on investment and have mechanisms to develop Vinh City to become the economic and cultural center of the entire North Central region.

According to this Resolution, by 2030, Nghe An strives to become a fairly developed province of the country, with a fast and sustainable economic development, imbued with the cultural identity of Vietnam and Nghe An, and a center of the North Central region. By 2045, Nghe An will be a fast, sustainable, comprehensive, civilized and modern province, imbued with the cultural identity of Vietnam and Nghe An, and one of the driving forces for development of the North Central region.

Concretizing Resolution No. 39

Speaking at the conference, Ms. Truong Thi Mai emphasized that the Politburo's issuance of Resolution No. 39 continues to affirm the consistent viewpoint and special attention of the Party Central Committee and the Politburo towards Nghe An province.

The Standing Secretariat affirmed that Resolution 39 is the political basis for Nghe An to have positive changes, make breakthroughs, strongly arouse the desire for development in the Party and the people, create collective strength for Nghe An to develop quickly and sustainably, and achieve the set goals.

Ms. Truong Thi Mai suggested that the implementation of Resolution No. 39 must be placed in the overall development of the region and the whole country, must be closely linked with the Resolution of the 19th Nghe An Provincial Party Congress, Resolution No. 26 of the Politburo on the development of the North Central and Central Coast regions; must create momentum, create stronger connections and resonance, especially in the two neighboring provinces of Thanh Hoa and Ha Tinh, localities of Laos sharing the border and localities throughout the country.

The issuance of mechanisms and policies to concretize Resolution No. 39 will create an important legal framework to bring the Resolution into life, especially specific mechanisms and policies associated with the actual conditions of Nghe An, so that mechanisms and policies must promote rapid economic restructuring, associated with innovation, improving growth quality, labor restructuring, digital transformation, green transformation, effective use of resources, scientific and technological innovation, training high-quality human resources, developing industries and fields with high added value.

Localities must try harder, be more determined, be the main force, be the internal force, be the one to practice, not be dependent. The responsibility of central agencies is also very important, not leaving it all to the locality. All need to join in synchronously with the spirit of "unanimity from top to bottom, smoothness from top to bottom" to create concrete, clear changes.

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Tran Tuan Anh emphasized that Resolution 39 is an important document, demonstrating the special attention of the Party and State to the homeland of President Ho Chi Minh, creating conditions for Nghe An province to develop worthy of its position and role in the North Central region.
