Nghe An: Thousands of chicken feet, sausages, and nem chua with meat of unknown origin discovered

On September 22, Truong Vinh Ward Police (Nghe An Province) said that the unit had just coordinated with functional forces to detect and handle a large quantity of food of unknown origin at a cold storage in the area.

Previously, on September 21, Truong Vinh Ward Police coordinated with Market Management Team No. 3 ( Nghe An Market Management Department) to inspect the frozen facility of Viet Duc Food Trading Company Limited, located at Vinh Tan 1 block (Truong Vinh Ward), owned by Mr. Truong Sy D. (born in 1979, residing in Thanh Vinh Ward).

Number of chicken feet of unknown origin

At the time of inspection, the authorities discovered in the warehouse 3,600 frozen chicken feet, 500 cheese sausages and 500 sour pork rolls, all packed in sacks and paper bags but without labels, no information about the place of production or expiry date. The owner of the facility could not present invoices or documents proving the origin.

All of the above mentioned food has been confiscated by the authorities for handling according to regulations. Truong Vinh Ward Police are continuing to complete the case file.
