Lao Cai strengthens food safety assurance at the Red River Festival 2025 and the Vietnam - China International Trade Fair

On November 18, the Department of Health's inspection team was deployed to strengthen inspection and closely monitor food safety at activities taking place within the framework of the Red River Festival 2025 and the 25th Vietnam - China International Trade Fair (Lao Cai).

Hotels basically strictly comply with food safety regulations.

The delegation inspected and supervised the compliance with the provisions of the law on Food Safety of key hotels in Lao Cai ward, such as: Muong Thanh, Ngoi Sao, Sapaly. These are the locations assigned to welcome the delegation and serve official meals for the 2025 Red River Festival and the 25th Vietnam - China International Trade Fair (Lao Cai).

The inspection team monitored food safety conditions at Muong Thanh Grand Lao Cai Hotel.

Preliminary inspection results show that the food service establishments serving delegates have basically strictly complied with regulations on ensuring food safety. At the same time, there is careful preparation of facilities, personnel and quality raw materials with clear origins to serve in the most thoughtful way.

Mr. Pham Minh Duc - CEO of Muong Thanh Grand Lao Cai Hotel said: "We have organized training for staff and chefs to skillfully prepare dishes to welcome domestic and international guests. The selection of food is focused on green and clean products, prioritizing typical dishes of the Lao Cai highlands, traditional dishes of China and other countries".

Emphasizing further on solutions to ensure food safety at the 2025 Red River Festival and the 25th Vietnam - China International Trade Fair (Lao Cai), Mr. Pham Trung Hieu - Deputy Director of the Department of Health of Lao Cai province, said: "We regularly carry out inspection and supervision activities, especially controlling the supply from small to large-scale establishments. For the supplying establishments, under 200 meals will be managed by the People's Committee of the commune or ward; over 200 meals will be managed by the industry, ensuring that there are no gaps in food safety control".

The delegation will increase inspection and supervision at food areas at the 25th Vietnam - China International Trade Fair (Lao Cai).

In addition to ensuring the health of the delegations, the inspection and supervision teams of the provincial and local health sectors will also strengthen inspection and supervision at the food courts at the Fair and major food and beverage businesses in the area, in order to promptly detect and strictly handle violations, ensuring no food poisoning incidents occur, contributing to the overall success of the event.
