The program featured many famous artists such as People's Artist Pham Ngoc Khoi, People's Artist Ta Minh Tam, People's Artist Quoc Hung, Trong Tan, Anh Tho, Lan Anh... Among them, the performance "Sudden Thought" by artist Vu Dieu Thao playing the Pipa solo with the traditional orchestra conducted by People's Artist Pham Ngoc Khoi was a highlight that attracted the audience.

Thinking is a composition by People's Artist Vu Mai Phuong - the leader of the Vietnamese Pipa. The work has many levels of emotions, thoughts, and feelings expressed through the unique performance techniques of the Pipa.
Under the direction of People's Artist Pham Ngoc Khoi and the Vietnam National Orchestra consisting of talented artists and lecturers, Dieu Thao seems to have been given wings to sublimate and soar in her Pipa playing.
"When the work had not yet ended, the audience's enthusiastic applause resounded throughout the Hoan Kiem Theater. Thao felt very happy because the sound of the pipa moved the audience.
And until the climax of Contemplation ended, the emotions really exploded. The teacher and students held hands and waved to the audience, only then did they see the teacher's sweaty hands, his forehead glistening with drops of sweat, his gentle and happy smile, the most familiar image after the moments of serious work and enthusiastic performance in front of a packed auditorium.
The simple happiness of an artist is the endless applause when the music stops," Dieu Thao shared.

In 2022, in the program Sing Up Vietnam to welcome the 13th Vietnam Music Day, Vu Dieu Thao also performed Suy Tu .
Sharing about this return, Dieu Thao said: "Thao feels this is a great honor to be trusted by the Vietnam Musicians Association and invited to perform in this special program, especially on the occasion of the opening of the Hoan Kiem Theater to welcome guests in a completely new, very beautiful space with a modern sound and lighting system, applying the world's leading technology.
The theater is located at the intersection of four major streets in the center of Hanoi , a new cultural point connecting with cultural works, historical relics, thousand-year-old architectural landscapes, forming a cultural, artistic and entertainment complex around Hoan Kiem Lake. This novelty is truly a catalyst that makes Thao feel excited and filled with joy with this wonderful performance invitation."
Interestingly, the lotus-patterned ao dai that Dieu Thao wore when performing in the show Blue Sword Lake Music Waves was designed, sewn and painted by herself. Dieu Thao said that the ao dai was inspired by the beauty of the lotus - Vietnam's national flower, which she loves very much and has special affection for because of its purity and gentle fragrance.
To prepare for this outfit, Dieu Thao and her mother went to buy a piece of plain orange-red fabric to cut, sew, and draw patterns.

"This is a long dress for a solo performance, so Thao designed it quite elaborately, both with a traditional classical style and effectively exploiting the contrast of colors to make the long dress stand out under the stage lights. The patterns on the dress can be pre-printed, hand-embroidered, machine-embroidered or have available patterns, however, Thao prefers to create her own long dresses with her personal mark, clearly expressing her personality and the image she wants to achieve," said the female artist.
It is known that not only the ao dai worn on Music Day 2023, Dieu Thao has also designed many other performance and everyday costumes for about 10 years now.
Artist Dieu Thao is a notable face in the field of performing Vietnamese traditional musical instruments today. She is a lecturer of the Pipa subject at the Vietnam National Academy of Music. In addition to the Pipa, she can play many other musical instruments such as the Tam Thap Luc, Tu, Nhi, T'rung, K'longput, Dan Da, etc.
