Speaking at the closing and award ceremony, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ta Quang Dong emphasized that the National Music and Dance Festival is a professional activity with the spirit of inheriting and promoting as well as honoring and promoting the unique and special values of Vietnamese performing arts and the quintessence of world performing arts, contributing to building an advanced Vietnamese culture imbued with national identity.
According to Deputy Minister Ta Quang Dong, at this festival, artists and actors working in the fields of singing, dancing and music have demonstrated their talents as well as their desire to create and contribute, while also exchanging, gaining experience and improving their professional qualifications. The singing, dancing and music performances brought to the festival not only demonstrate the quintessence of music and performing arts in Vietnam as well as in the world, but also contain many valuable historical and cultural values of the Vietnamese people.
Deputy Minister Ta Quang Dong suggested that in the coming time, the agencies, functional units in charge as well as art units need to continue to pay attention and invest carefully in both human and material resources for the competitions; have special preferential policies to attract, nurture and train young and talented artists and actors to be the next generation.

People's Artist Nguyen Quang Vinh pointed out many shortcomings at the Festival.
In terms of expertise, People's Artist Nguyen Quang Vinh - Chairman of the Hanoi Music Association, Chairman of the Festival's Art Council shared: "15 days of judging is a long enough time to feel and witness the smiles and sweat on the faces of the artists through over 200 art performances in the genres of singing, dancing, music, vocal drama, musical theater, musical ballet... from 24 professional art units nationwide.
During the Festival, there are many programs that carry the local identity through simple, rustic performances... even preserving the original form, preserving the original songs, traditional melodies that have existed since ancient times...
Many programs are invested in elaborately with scripts that closely follow the theme, tightly structured with various genres, knowing how to combine decorative art, props, images, and technology; exploiting and developing the combination between traditional and modern art, between forms of cultural and religious activities and the performance style of the modern stage, creating conditions for artists to sublimate and shine in each role. Especially programs in the genres of vocal drama, musical drama, and musical and ballet drama.

However, according to People's Artist Nguyen Quang Vinh, through the Festival, it can be seen that some creative artists appear in many programs and performances in different art units, so it is inevitable that there will be overlaps in the use of artistic techniques...
“The use of too many collaborators and creative forces outside the unit and outside the locality to build the program and the program is effective, invisibly the artists are creating awareness and perspective for the state management of culture and art that: “Artistic products should probably use the services provided by society in terms of both human resources and creative work rather than having to maintain an art unit in their locality. And artistic products should probably be purchased according to demand rather than having to be “grown” and “raised at home”.

In addition, Art Festivals of any kind are always considered an opportunity for art managers, creators and artists to meet, exchange, share and learn from each other's experiences. And from observing and encouraging each other, leaders of each unit will see where their weaknesses and strengths are.
From there, make choices about the direction and appropriate measures to lead your unit to develop day by day. But in reality, due to many different circumstances, most units rush to the day before their unit's participation and then hastily withdraw without having time to share or learn.
In addition, the Festival of Performing Arts organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism gathers most of the art troupes in localities nationwide, each locality has its own characteristics, cultural nature, structure, and artistic identity, so applying the award rate of no more than 35% of the total number of participating performances is not appropriate. It is necessary to organize festivals or competitions for different art forms, thereby dividing the tables for units with the same genre and nature," People's Artist Nguyen Quang Vinh raised the issue.
At the end of the festival, the Organizing Committee awarded 3 Gold Medals and 6 Silver Medals to the art programs. The People's Public Security Music and Dance Theater with the program "Order from the Heart", the Ha Giang Provincial Art Troupe with the program "Ha Giang - The Calling of the Rocks", and the Binh Duong Provincial Cultural Center with the program "The Call of the Source" won the Gold Medal.
In addition, the Organizing Committee also awarded 32 Gold Medals, 66 Silver Medals to performances and actors and 5 Excellence Awards to creative components.
