On April 24, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department of Dak Lak Province Police said that the unit had just coordinated with Cu Kuin District Police to successfully rescue a girl who fell into a deep well while working in the fields.
The victim was Ms. Tran Thi Hoai Linh (19 years old, residing in Ea Ning commune, Cu Kuin district).
Ms. Linh was rescued by authorities after falling into an 18m deep well.
On the afternoon of April 23, Ms. Linh went to work for local people in Ea Ning commune. At around 2:00 p.m. that day, Ms. Linh fell into a well in a coffee garden. When Ms. Linh did not return home that evening, her family organized a search and found her in an 18-meter-deep well.
Upon receiving the news, dozens of police were mobilized to the scene. The rescue team attached an iron basket to a pulley and lowered the victim down to bring him up in a state of scratches and panic. The rescue process took about 15 minutes.
Locals said the well was used to irrigate coffee plants and had no lid, and was covered with grass. At the time the victim fell in, the area was in the dry season so there was no water in the well.
