According to the Department of Science, Technology and Training (Ministry of Health), in 2025, research cooperation and technology transfer in producing vaccines to treat lung cancer will be one of the four key scientific research groups.

Other research that has been promoted includes: research cooperation - technology transfer of immune cells for cancer treatment with Car-T cells; pilot application of mesenchymal stem cell therapy to treat cerebral palsy, autism and some chronic diseases; pilot research on the application of personalized 3D printing in the treatment of trauma, or replacement of some parts that have been severely damaged by cancer.

The application of biotechnology and regenerative medicine, including the production of cancer treatment vaccines, will be prioritized by the health sector in the coming time.

Among them, Car-T cell therapy is considered a major advance in cancer treatment and brings hope to many cancer patients, especially those who do not respond to conventional regimens. In the body, Car-T is a cell that has the ability to attack cancer cells.

In addition, Vietnam will produce cancer treatment vaccines with the transfer of technology from Russia. According to experts, in terms of mechanism, cancer treatment vaccines will enhance the immune system's ability to search and destroy antigens. Normally, on the surface of cancer cells there are molecules called cancer-specific antigens that healthy cells do not have. When these molecules are introduced into the body through vaccines, they will act as antigens. They will tell the immune system to find and destroy cancer cells that have these molecules on their surface.
