The majority of this is still the reigning Premier League champions - Liverpool. With the "blockbuster" Alexander Isak on the last day, they have raised their total spending in the summer of 2025 to an unbelievable 426 million pounds.

Liverpool also had three of the biggest deals of the summer, including Alexander Isak from Newcastle, Hugo Ekitike from Frankfurt and Florian Wirtz from Leverkusen. Of these, Isak was the most expensive deal in football history (130 million pounds), Florian Wirtz was the biggest player sale in Bundesliga history (117 million pounds).

Liverpool alone accounted for nearly 1/6 of the total transfer value of the summer of 2025. But they also sold players very effectively, with nearly 250 million pounds from pushing Darwin Nunez, Luis Diaz... Behind the reigning Premier League champions are Chelsea, Arsenal, Newcastle...

Many teams have surpassed the £200 million mark... Among them, MU continues to attract attention when investing nearly £200 million to recruit a new attacking triangle including Benjamin Sesko, Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha. All 3 of these new players are in the Top 10 biggest deals of Summer 2025.

After a record-breaking summer with Moise Caicedo, Chelsea still hasn't stopped shopping. They've spent a total of £263 million, bringing in many quality young players like Estevao, Joao Pedro...

Even a club like Nottingham has spent £220m on shopping, while newcomers Sunderland have even spent the same amount as Real Madrid (both £150m). All of this reflects the Premier League's willingness to spend. At £3bn, the league has even witnessed a spending spree that is twice the GDP of a country. For example, Timor Leste, this country's total GDP in 2024 is only £1.5bn.
