After a period of stagnation, Man United and Real finally reached an agreement just before the transfer window closed.

According to sources, Betis will pay a fixed fee of 22 million euros plus 3 million euros in add-ons to sign Antony. Man United will also receive 50% of any future transfer of the player.

The Brazilian striker spent the second half of last season on loan at Betis. He returned to Man United but was left out of coach Ruben Amorim's squad.

"Only my family knows how hard it was there. Training alone... But I knew this amazing moment was coming.

Of course I was afraid that it wouldn't happen in the end, but I waited because I had a lot of faith,” Antony said through tears.

His impressive form for Betis has seen him convince the La Liga side, with Antony scoring nine goals in 26 games and helping the club reach the Conference League final last season.

"It was very difficult to make the transfer, but now we are here. I can't wait to wear the Betis shirt again. I can only thank everyone who helped me complete this deal," Antony said.

Antony left Old Trafford after making 96 appearances in three years, scoring 12 goals. At 95 million euros from Ajax, he was Man United's second most expensive signing after Paul Pogba.
