However, reality shows that there are still many shortcomings and limitations in environmental protection work, specifically, there is still a situation where businesses discharge waste not according to standards; solid waste from domestic and industrial sources in some places is still not classified, collected and thoroughly treated. Local air pollution in some production and traffic areas increases during rush hours...

One of the important development goals of Dong Nai in the 2025-2030 term is to develop digital economy , green economy, circular economy, sharing economy, knowledge economy; economic development goes hand in hand with cultural and social development, environmental protection, and improving the material and spiritual life of the people. To develop the economy along with environmental protection, Dong Nai has determined to synchronously deploy many strategic solutions.

First of all, Dong Nai strengthens management, uses resources effectively and economically, protects the environment, and proactively adapts to climate change. Manages, uses resources economically and effectively, especially land resources, mineral resources, and water resources; improves the quality of planning and land use plans, determines land prices close to reality; speeds up compensation, support, and resettlement, especially for key projects.

Next, the province will also strengthen inspection, supervision, and strict handling of violations in resource exploitation and environmental protection. Promote waste classification and collection at source; improve infrastructure for collection, transportation, and treatment of domestic solid waste. Innovate waste treatment technology, encourage investment in environmental protection and regeneration services, eco-labeling, and efficient energy use. Conserve biodiversity, develop protective forests, and special-use forests associated with building a modern and sustainable forestry industry...

Ultimately, the success of Dong Nai’s economic development strategy associated with environmental protection also depends on the close coordination between local authorities, businesses and people. When development benefits are linked with the responsibility of protecting resources, Dong Nai not only maintains its role as the economic driving force of the region but also builds a sustainable living environment, increasing the attractiveness of quality investment for the future.
