Speed ​​up planning progress of Tuyen Lam Lake National Tourist Area

On the morning of October 29, comrade Ho Van Muoi, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Lam Dong province led a working delegation of the Provincial People's Committee to inspect the implementation of Tuyen Lam Lake National Tourist Area.

Attending the working delegation were Vice Chairmen of the Provincial People's Committee: Nguyen Ngoc Phuc, Dinh Van Tuan; leaders of relevant departments, branches and units.

At the working session, the delegation inspected and surveyed Tuyen Lam Lake National Tourist Area by waterway and road; inspected a number of unfinished tourism projects.

On this occasion, the Department of Finance, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Management Board of Tuyen Lam National Tourist Area and related units also reported on a number of difficulties and obstacles in implementing projects; solutions to attract investment and complete infrastructure of the tourist area.

Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee leaders inspected the area where the bridge is planned to be built in the tourist area.

Through on-site inspection and listening to reports, Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Muoi assessed that Tuyen Lam Lake National Tourist Area has great potential in tourism development and investment attraction. However, in recent times, the implementation of projects has not been drastic and has not met expectations.

Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Muoi requested that enterprises that have been granted investment policies urgently speed up the progress of project implementation. In addition, departments, branches and localities should review all licensed projects; classify completed and operational projects, and evaluate their effectiveness.

For projects that are not on schedule or have not been implemented, relevant agencies shall proactively advise the Provincial People's Committee to handle them according to the provisions of law.

Representatives of Tuyen Lam Lake National Tourist Area Management Board reported some current difficulties and problems.

The head of the provincial People's Committee emphasized that in order to attract potential investors, the most important thing is to do a good job of planning. This work must be completed within the next 6 months at the latest. Departments and branches should proactively coordinate and hire consulting units to complete the master plan and detailed planning of the tourist area.

In parallel with planning work, Lam Dong Department of Construction coordinates with relevant units to advise the Provincial People's Committee on solutions for synchronous investment in infrastructure, especially wastewater treatment systems, traffic roads and lighting systems.

"Regarding the difficulties and problems that have existed for many years, the units urgently coordinate and find effective solutions to exploit the potential and advantages of the tourist area, serving the socio-economic development goals of the locality," Comrade Ho Van Muoi suggested.

Tuyen Lam Lake National Tourist Area is located about 6 km south of Lam Dong province's administrative center, with a total area of ​​nearly 3,000 hectares, of which Tuyen Lam Lake alone has an area of ​​about 350 hectares. Previously, the People's Committee of Lam Dong province (old) granted investment licenses to 39 projects in this tourist area.

Tuyen Lam Lake National Tourist Area has 39 projects that have been granted investment licenses by the People's Committee of Lam Dong Province (old).

Projects in operation, trading in tourism products, entertainment, eco-tourism, adventure sports, golf courses, and resorts.

In 2017, Tuyen Lam Lake was the first National Tourist Area of ​​Vietnam recognized by the Prime Minister according to the Vietnam tourism development strategy to 2020 and vision to 2030.
