Talking with the prestigious Dao Van Thi, we learned that Luong Tri village currently has 910 households with over 4,000 Cham people. People's lives depend on the income from over 400 hectares of rice fields, proactively watering and raising horned cattle. The State has many investment policies, creating livelihoods, improving the lives of ethnic minorities. Farmers benefit from the Tan My irrigation system, the largest in Ninh Thuan province, providing irrigation water for 365 hectares of rice fields in Luong Tri village, planting 2-3 rice crops/year, ensuring a steady income, with a yield of 7-8 quintals/sao/crop. Mr. Dao Van Thi actively mobilizes farmers to plant new rice varieties to increase productivity, increase income, and improve their lives. By the end of 2024, Luong Tri has only 9 poor households, accounting for 0.98% of households in the village, a decrease of 18 households compared to 2023.
The prestigious Dao Van Thi is a typical example of a good farmer. He wholeheartedly shares his experience in helping villagers escape poverty. Every day, he sticks to the fields, wades through the fields to cultivate 3.5 hectares of rice fields and takes care of a herd of over 140 cattle.
