The outdoor exhibition area of ​​the Ministry of National Defense has a very large area (nearly 23,560 m2) with the theme "Sword and Shield". This is a space to display modern weapons and technical equipment, typically researched and manufactured by the Vietnamese defense industry and weapons and technical equipment in the Vietnam People's Army.

During the first two days of the Exhibition, the area displaying military equipment of the Ministry of National Defense attracted a large number of people and tourists to visit and learn about the technical specifications of weapons, artillery vehicles, missiles, etc.
