At the same time, ammonia, alcohol or soda can also be used to have a good effect; apply cool compresses to the injured areas; do not use fresh water to wash because it will increase the toxic activity of jellyfish; you can take more painkillers, antihistamines and apply creams containing corticosteroids. Monitor the stung person for severe symptoms such as headache, chest pain, cyanosis, sweating, facial swelling, vomiting, abdominal pain and frequent diarrhea, rapid, weak pulse, low blood pressure... then take them immediately to the nearest medical facility for emergency care and treatment.
To provide timely first aid, Nha Trang Bay Management Board recommends that residents and tourists who are stung by jellyfish immediately contact rescue workers or the nearest rescue station for assistance.
