Therefore, in case people and tourists are stung by jellyfish, they need to follow these steps: Immediately remove the person from the dangerous area with jellyfish; remove tentacles attached to the skin with clean tools; limit touching the sting to avoid spreading infection to the wound; wash the sting with vinegar or seawater to clean the toxins.
At the same time, ammonia, alcohol or soda can also be used to have a good effect; apply cool compresses to the injured areas; do not use fresh water to wash because it will increase the toxic activity of jellyfish; you can take more painkillers, antihistamines and apply creams containing corticosteroids. Monitor the stung person for severe symptoms such as headache, chest pain, cyanosis, sweating, facial swelling, vomiting, abdominal pain and frequent diarrhea, rapid, weak pulse, low blood pressure... then take them immediately to the nearest medical facility for emergency care and treatment.
To provide timely first aid, Nha Trang Bay Management Board recommends that residents and tourists who are stung by jellyfish immediately contact rescue workers or the nearest rescue station for assistance.
