Mr. Nguyen Van Hao.

Growing up in a poor rural area, the teacher from Hai Phong considers himself "a country boy who loves singing". His childhood with working in the fields, nights listening to the guitars playing by the well under the moonlight of his brothers and sisters gradually ignited his love for music. The years of self-study, "stealing" a little musical knowledge from acquaintances, became a stepping stone for him to pursue the arts. Graduating from the Music Pedagogy major of the Central College of Music and Fine Arts (now the Central University of Art Education) in 1992, Mr. Hao became a lecturer at the Central Kindergarten - Nursery Pedagogical High School, now the Central Pedagogical College - Nha Trang. In the following years, Mr. Hao continued to study Music Theory at the Hanoi Conservatory of Music (now the Vietnam National Academy of Music), then studied for a master's degree in Music Theory and History at the Vietnam National Academy of Music. From his inspirational lectures, many students have pursued an artistic path and achieved certain success in their careers. In addition to studying in class, students often meet him at the school's art programs as a director or judge in traditional student art programs, pedagogical competitions... of the school.

As the Head of the Music Department in the previous period and the current lecturer of the Music subject for students of the PreschoolEducation Department of the Central Pedagogical College - Nha Trang, Mr. Hao has participated in the implementation of scientific research projects and topics on music and composition. He is the head of 3 ministerial-level scientific topics, including: Innovation in teaching methods of Instrumental Music and Harmony based on the application of some computer software; Studying folk songs of the Raglai ethnic group in Khanh Hoa; Designing materials to support teaching and practicing music for students of the Preschool Education Department. At the same time, he is the head of 2 school-level scientific topics. He is also the editor-in-chief of the Music textbooks for grades 6, 7, 8, 9; author of the Music textbooks for grades 11, 12, belonging to the Creative Horizon series of the Vietnam Education Publishing House; One of the authors of 3 books of Khanh Hoa Province Local Education Documents for grades 10, 11, 12 and many other supplementary books.

What Mr. Hao is most passionate about is his research on folk music, especially the music of the Raglai ethnic minority. Among them, the book "Traditional musical instruments of the Raglai ethnic group in Khanh Hoa" won the music award of the Vietnam Musicians Association in 2012. In addition, he also has many research articles on this topic published in the Music Research Journal of the Vietnam National Academy of Music.   This issue is being further researched by the teacher for his doctoral thesis. Teacher Hao said: "Only by connecting traditional music with the breath of the times can folk music survive and develop sustainably. Therefore, in addition to research, I always want to find new materials combined with the use of folk music materials in my compositions. Teachers and school are the main themes that I aim for when composing".

With his contributions, Mr. Hao has been awarded the title of Emulation Fighter at the ministerial level; many certificates of merit from the Ministry of Education and Training, the Provincial People's Committee; music awards from the Vietnam Musicians Association; provincial literature and arts awards... In 2024, his research work "Music practice exercises for preschool education students" won the encouragement prize of the Music Award from the Vietnam Musicians Association.
