Cause of passenger bus overturning on Tam Dao pass that killed 3 people - Lang Son Newspaper and Radio and Television Station

A 29-seat passenger bus traveling from Tam Dao town lost its brakes and overturned, killing 3 people and injuring many others.

According to authorities, at around 9:15 a.m. on April 26, at km 19 of National Highway 2B (Ho Son commune, Tam Dao district, Vinh Phuc ), a passenger bus overturned, killing 3 people.

At that time, driver Nguyen Van T. (born in 1984) was driving a 29-seat passenger car with license plate 29F-059.95 from Tam Dao town when the brakes failed and the car overturned. There were more than 10 people on board.

Up to now, authorities have recorded 3 deaths and 8 injuries.

According to the leader of Tam Dao District Medical Center, the accident happened when the bus was going downhill. A 5-year-old child and a middle-aged man died on the spot, their identities have not been determined. Another passenger died at the hospital.

At the scene, the passenger bus overturned after hitting the guardrail on the road from Tam Dao town down the mountain. The windshield and most of the right side windows were shattered, causing passengers’ belongings and personal belongings to be scattered in all directions.

Vinh Phuc Provincial Police are investigating the cause of the accident.
