Nguyen Thi Oanh received 10 million VND, the Vietnamese women's team received 50 million VND from the Vietnam Civil Servants' Trade Union. In addition, the Standing Committee of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism's Trade Union gave the Vietnamese women's team 20 million VND and Nguyen Thi Oanh 5 million VND.
The award was presented at a meeting between the Vietnam Civil Servants' Union and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism's Union with the Vietnam women's football team and athlete Nguyen Thi Oanh.
Nguyen Thi Oanh and the Vietnamese women's team received additional awards.
Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Ngo Duy Hieu - Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor , President of the Vietnam Civil Servants' Trade Union said: " On behalf of the leaders of the Vietnam Civil Servants' Trade Union, we are very happy and proud of the achievements of the Vietnam Sports Delegation in general and the Vietnam women's team and athlete Nguyen Thi Oanh in particular.
As union members, you have shown excellent performance and persistent will to work. Coach Mai Duc Chung has also inspired many civil servants and public employees in their duties. We would like to sincerely thank and acknowledge the efforts of athlete Nguyen Thi Oanh and the Vietnamese women's team to bring glory to the country's sports .
The image of Nguyen Thi Oanh overcoming difficulties to win 2 gold medals in the 32nd SEA Games athletics with only 16 minutes of rest between the 2 events touched the hearts of fans. She only had time to wipe her sweat, drink a glass of water after finishing the first event and entering the second event. In total, Nguyen Thi Oanh won 4 gold medals in the 32nd SEA Games in the 1500 meter, 3000 meter hurdles, 5000 meter and 10,000 meter events.
The Vietnamese women's team brought great inspiration with their fourth consecutive gold medal in women's football at the 32nd SEA Games. Despite many difficulties, Huynh Nhu and her teammates still played convincingly, winning an impressive victory over the Myanmar women's team in the final match.
In fact, female players and some track and field athletes do not have time to rest. The Vietnamese women's team has entered the most important preparation process for the 2023 World Cup.
