"Fate" with journalism
Director, cameraman Nguyen Ly Minh Dai, born in 1987, is one of the young, dynamic, creative and enthusiastic journalists. After graduating from the College of Radio and Television II, he worked at Ben Tre Radio and Television Station. Since then, Minh Dai has always been diligent in his work, with his own will to improve, his spirit of learning from friends and colleagues, and at the same time seriously accepting everyone's sincere suggestions, helping Minh Dai quickly mature and become more skilled.
Talking about his “fate” with journalism, Minh Dai shared: “Thanks to fate, when I graduated, I went to Ben Tre Radio and Television Station for an internship, then after graduating, I was accepted to work at the station. Then from a technician, I had the chance to switch to a cameraman and now become a director. I consider that a great fate that created conditions for me to pursue my passion for the job I love.”
In 2017, Minh Dai studied directing at the University of Theater and Cinema in Ho Chi Minh City with a major in film and television directing and graduated with honors. Currently, he is one of the directors and film reporters trusted by the station's leaders to produce many columns, reality TV shows, live TV shows... In addition to his role as director and reporter, Minh Dai can also write scripts, commentary, stage trailers, and skits, bringing high-quality products that are highly appreciated by leaders and colleagues.
With his efforts and dedication to his profession, Minh Dai achieved high results at the National Television Festival such as: gold medal with the work “The Forest Calls”; silver medal with the work “5 + 1 Warm Teamwork”; silver medal for documentary film with the work “Going through the drought and salinity season”; and dozens of other awards at competitions in and outside the province. In particular, the reportage “5 + 1 Warm Teamwork” won the encouragement prize at the National Television Awards.

Reporter Nguyen Thi Cam Truc (pen name Cam Truc, Nhien Luan), born in 1985, is a native of Chau Thanh district. Graduated from the Journalism major at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Ho Chi Minh City, Cam Truc has worked for Dong Khoi Newspaper for 16 years. She is a key writer in the economic section, a face that has won many high awards through competitions in and outside the province.

With a friendly face and a charming smile, Cam Truc made an impression at first sight and it was her honesty, conciseness, and insightful, creative views in each article that made her name known to more and more people. In charge of the economic sector for a long time, Cam Truc had the conditions and time to research and produce works related to the coconut tree - a tree that has been closely associated with many generations of Ben Tre people. This is also the topic that Cam Truc herself loves and is passionate about. The work "The Story of Organic Coconut Ben Tre" was born and received many awards.
In the 4.0 era, in addition to passion, love for the profession, knowledge, and skills, journalists must constantly innovate to meet the needs of readers. Therefore, when Dong Khoi Electronic Newspaper appeared, Cam Truc was very excited and bold in approaching new things, coordinating well with colleagues to produce. The sweet fruit was winning the consolation prize of the 2023 National Journalism Award with the work "The Story of Organic Coconut Ben Tre". Editor-in-Chief of Dong Khoi Newspaper Le Ngoc Han said: "Cam Truc is one of the newspaper's key reporters, an experienced and steady writer. In the past time, you have made many efforts, been positive and proactive in grasping new technology, coordinating with colleagues to produce many journalism products, including one work that won the National Journalism Award. This is also the common joy of our brothers and sisters working in the province's newspapers".
In 16 years of working as a journalist, every year, Cam Truc has won high prizes at provincial-level journalism awards, typically: Golden Hammer and Sickle Award, Suong Nguyet Anh, New Countryside, Dong Khoi Startup and Business Development, Science and Technology... Notably, this year, in addition to the national journalism award, Cam Truc and her colleagues also excellently won first prize at the Suong Nguyet Anh Journalism Award with the work "Aspiration of Ben Tre".
Cam Truc expressed her determination to continuously strive to achieve higher achievements in the following seasons. Recently, during a field trip to Truong Sa and Con Dao, Cam Truc also produced a series of articles that were evaluated as high quality. At the same time, she was honored to receive the medal "For the cause of protecting the sovereignty of the sea and islands".
