Historical mission of journalism
Looking back at the 100-year journey of the Vietnamese revolutionary press founded by the great leader Nguyen Ai Quoc - President Ho Chi Minh, the Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that the Vietnamese revolutionary press carries within it the historical mission of being a torch to light the way, a sharp ideological weapon, gathering and encouraging the people in the struggle for national independence.
Over 100 years of accompanying the country, generations of journalists and soldiers have always been present in the places at the forefront, from the Viet Bac resistance base to the Dien Bien Phu battlefield, from the legendary Truong Son route to constructions and factories during the Doi Moi process.

Their pens not only record history, but also contribute to creating history, lighting the fire of patriotism, the desire for peace and the spirit of innovation and creativity. The press has truly been a trustworthy bridge between the Party, the State and the people, making an important contribution to building and consolidating the great national unity bloc.
According to the Deputy Prime Minister, in the new era - the era of deep international integration, the Fourth Industrial Revolution and great aspirations for a strong and prosperous Vietnam by 2045, journalists, especially young journalists, are facing both opportunities and challenges.
More than ever, the Government and the people need from the press a stream of accurate, timely and oriented mainstream information; sharp and in-depth articles that not only reflect reality but also actively participate in the policy planning and implementation process, contributing to removing "bottlenecks", promoting institutional reform, improving the investment and business environment; humane works that spread positive energy, multiply the good values of the Vietnamese people, promote the image of a beautiful, dynamic, innovative Vietnam and a reliable destination for international friends, the Deputy Prime Minister shared.
