Before returning to Vietnam to play for Ninh Binh Club, 20-year-old overseas Vietnamese midfielder Chung Nguyen Do played for Slavia Sofia, making 46 appearances and scoring 1 goal in the Bulgarian National Championship. Chung Nguyen Do has Vietnamese parents but was born in Bulgaria. He is considered a versatile midfielder, having played for the Bulgarian U17, U19 and U21 teams, participating in the final round of the Euro 2022 U17 Championship and the qualifying round of the Euro 2023 U19 Championship.

In just over a month, nearly 100 player transfers have been successful, signaling an exciting and dramatic 2025-2026 V-League season. Teams have been recruiting players to build up their squads in preparation for the new season.

After accepting to replace Quang Nam Club to participate in V-League 2025-2026, "newcomer" PVF-CAND immediately completed preparations to meet the requirements of competing in the most prestigious playground in Vietnam. The team also recruited 2 foreign players who played for Nam Dinh Club last season, including striker Joseph Mpande and center back Walber Mota. This duo has experience playing in V-League so they will quickly catch up and integrate into the team's playing style.

PVF-CAND Club leaders said they will renovate the stadium and add 6,000 seats to meet the standards set by the V-League Organizing Committee. Currently, the stadium's grass, lighting system and functional rooms at the PVF Center all meet the requirements, but the capacity of the stands does not meet the tournament's criteria.

PVF-CAND will participate in the V-League 2025-2026 as a reserve team, so they will be given priority to finalize the registration list later than other teams (August 7). Although there is not much time to prepare, coach Thach Bao Khanh's team is confident that they will have a convincing performance and stay in the V-League.

Coach Thach Bao Khanh shared: "In our squad, there are players who have played in the V-League and they will lead the juniors. The young players are also eager to experience the V-League playground, hoping to demonstrate their abilities in this professional tournament."

Another "rookie" of V-League, Ninh Binh Club, also has thorough preparations ahead of the new season. Not only "spending lavishly" to bring in high-class players, the team of the ancient capital Hoa Lu also participates in friendly matches with high professional quality.

At the friendly tournament Thien Long Cup 2025 held in July at Tam Ky Stadium, Ninh Binh Club convincingly defeated Da Nang Club, Hoang Anh Gia Lai and Korean Students to win the championship. After that, coach Gerard Albadalejo's team had a match on par with Hanoi Club in a practice match at Hang Day Stadium.

After the 0-2 loss to the capital team, the Ninh Binh Club's coaching staff reviewed the squad and had an overview of each player. In addition to overseas Vietnamese player Chung Nguyen Do, Ninh Binh Club also has 5 new foreign players, including: strikers Geovane Magno, Daniel Da Silva, Gustavo Henrique, midfielder Victor Morales and center back Alfredo Pedraza.
