In the development journey of Bac Lieu Agriculture, the press has always accompanied. Not only reporting and reflecting events, journalists and reporters are also the "bridge" between farmers and the government, scientists and the market.

The image of journalists rolling up their pants and wading through the fields with farmers is no longer strange, especially in localities with key agricultural sectors such as Bac Lieu. Thanh The, Hung Cuong, Truong Giang, Tran Van Ut, Chuc Chi, Anh Tuan, Tien Luan, Thuy Duong, Huyen Trang…, are names and faces familiar to the people through news bulletins and reports on rural life. They do not hesitate to cross fields, overcome rough dirt roads, brave the sun and rain… to be able to capture every drop of sweat falling in the scorching sun, or the smiles of farmers in joy of a good harvest, thereby spreading through the most authentic images and films.

Whenever there is news of landslides, high tides, drought and salinity… causing adverse effects on farmers’ production, reporters immediately set out, regardless of day or night, rain or shine. Thanks to the timely and realistic footage, local authorities and functional agencies quickly take remedial measures to support the people.

Not only do they provide timely information to farmers, reporters and journalists also act as inspiration, spreading effective production models and stories of legitimate enrichment from agriculture. In the digital transformation period, the role of the press has become even more important. Through the media, journalists have helped farmers access new techniques, modern machinery, and apply digital technology to production. Many smart agricultural models, clean production, and environmental friendliness have been replicated through articles, reports, and realistic, intimate films of the press.

Understanding and sharing between journalists and farmers, they come to listen, to live with farmers, to record videos, take photos, and record materials for writing articles. Sometimes it is just a conversation in a hut in the middle of the field, a few stories about the harvest, but for journalists, that is the most vivid material for works containing human love. It is the strong relationships that have helped journalists become trusted friends of farmers. People do not hesitate to share their concerns and express their wishes, because they know that their voices will be brought to where they are needed - through the pens and lenses of dedicated journalists.

In the context of the agricultural sector facing many challenges from climate change, market integration and the need to innovate production models, the press needs to promote its leading and accompanying role. Journalists work silently in the fields, shrimp ponds, sea dykes... to tell stories of making a living, stories of agricultural development and the aspiration to rise from hardship, contributing to the sustainable development of agriculture.

It can be said that simple and dedicated journalists and reporters are the ones who give Bac Lieu farmers more motivation to believe in life and the future...
