Nhon Trach 4 Power Plant successfully synchronized to the national grid

At 1:55 p.m. on June 27, the joint venture of EPC General Contractor Samsung C&T and LILAMA, in coordination with the investor and EVN, successfully synchronized the Nhon Trach 4 Power Plant with a capacity of 50 MW to the national grid.

This important event marks the efforts of the EPC Joint Venture Samsung C&T and Vietnam Machinery Installation Corporation - JSC (LILAMA) together with the investor and EVN in putting the factory into operation on schedule.

The joint venture of EPC General Contractor Samsung C&T and Vietnam Machinery Installation Corporation - JSC (LILAMA) and the investor, PetroVietnam Power Corporation and Vietnam Electricity Group, have made great efforts to put the plant into operation on schedule.

To ensure quality according to the Project's standards, the testing process of auxiliary systems at Nhon Trach 4 Power Plant is carried out under the close support and supervision of experts from equipment manufacturers, suppliers, and a team of engineers and supervisors from the Investor, Consultant and General Contractor.

The moment Nhon Trach 4 Power Plant successfully synchronized 50 MW into the national grid.

The first generation of electricity from the unit to the national grid is an important milestone, confirming the completion of the installation and initial testing. This is also a stepping stone for implementing further tests such as system optimization, coordinating operations with the national grid, and moving towards putting the plant into commercial operation according to the set plan.

Nhon Trach 4 Power Plant is expected to be put into commercial operation in October 2025.

Putting Nhon Trach 3 and 4 power plants into commercial operation will add about 9 billion kWh of electricity per year to the national power system, ensuring power supply for the Southern region in particular, the national power system and energy security in general; at the same time, creating a premise for developing a chain of LNG power projects in the approved Power Plan VIII.
