Cosmetics factory for Doan Di Bang's family had its certificate revoked, and its case was transferred to the police.

On May 27, the Department of Drug Administration, Ministry of Health revoked Certificate No. 53/GCN-QLD issued on January 21, 2025, which confirmed that EBC Dong Nai Medical Factory Joint Stock Company met CGMP-ASEAN standards - the highest standard for cosmetics production in Southeast Asia.

The reason for revoking this company's certificate is due to its failure to comply with the principles and standards of "Good Manufacturing Practice for Cosmetics" that Vietnam is applying in common with countries in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (CGMP-ASEAN).

This factory is located at Road No. 6, Giang Dien Industrial Park, Giang Dien Commune, Trang Bom District, Dong Nai Province, and is known as a cosmetic manufacturing partner for many brands distributed in the Southern market.

However, recently, a series of cosmetic products distributed by VB Group Company (legal representative and general director of the company, Mr. Nguyen Quoc Vu - singer Doan Di Bang's husband) produced at this factory have been recalled and destroyed.

Therefore, the Department has withdrawn the factory's certificate of compliance. At the same time, it requested the Dong Nai Provincial Department of Health to review and revoke the Certificate of Eligibility for Cosmetic Production issued to EBC Dong Nai according to regulations.

Notably, the department also directed the Ho Chi Minh City and Dong Nai Departments of Health to closely monitor products manufactured by EBC Dong Nai before the license is revoked, and to strictly handle any violations found in the distribution, advertising and circulation stages.

The Drug Administration also requested the units to transfer the records of violations of EBC Dong Nai Company and VB Group Company to the police agency to investigate and handle violations according to their authority.

3 products of EBC Dong Nai company were recalled

As reported by Tuoi Tre Online , up to now, 3 batches of products distributed by Doan Di Bang's husband's company and produced by EBC Dong Nai Company have been recalled and destroyed nationwide. Specifically:

Hanayuki Shampoo batch does not meet quality standards for microbial limits.

The Hanayuki Sunscreen Body batch has a sun protection factor listed on the label as SPF 50 but tested as SPF 2.4 (less than 70% of the product's effectiveness listed on the label).

A batch of Hanayuki Conditioner was found to contain 2-phenoxyethanol, which is not included in the published product formula.
