"There are many authors writing about Saigon - Cho Lon - Ho Chi Minh City, but each person only writes about a certain area or issue. That is why I want to spend all my time focusing on research and writing a book that can provide readers with the most comprehensive view of Ho Chi Minh City's history," the researcher shared.

Researcher Nguyen Dinh Tu was born in 1920 in Thanh Chi commune, Thanh Chuong district, Nghe An. During the resistance war against France, he was a collaborator of Doc Lap newspaper; in 1962, he worked for Phu Yen Land Department.

Up to now, researcher Nguyen Dinh Tu has published about 60 books, works from before 1975 such as: Non nuoc Phu Yen (1964), Khanh Hoa geography (1972), Non nuoc Ninh Thuan (1974) and later works such as: Streets in Ho Chi Minh City, Dictionary of administrative place names in the South, Non nuoc Quang Tri, Biographies and deeds of scholars of Southern Chinese studies, Handbook of street names in Ho Chi Minh City, French colonial regime in the South, novel The chaos of 12 warlords...
