On January 13, the leader of Khanh Hoa Department of Tourism said that data analysis firm ForwardKeys has just published a study on destinations that have recovered strongly after Covid-19, in which Beijing, Guangzhou (China) and Nha Trang (Vietnam) are the best recovery destinations in the Asia- Pacific region.
According to ForwardKeys, many tourist destinations in Asia- Pacific have recovered strongly in 2024. Of which, Beijing and Guangzhou (China) have the highest recovery performance with growth rates of 112% and 87% respectively; Nha Trang (Khanh Hoa, Vietnam) ranked 3rd with a growth rate of 80% over the same period. In the top 10 in terms of recovery performance in Asia- Pacific, there are also 2 other destinations in Southeast Asia: Kuala Lumpur (42%) and Phuket (33%).

Recently, newspapers and travel magazines have continuously selected Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa as one of the best resorts in Asia and the world. In early January 2025, Travel + Leisure ranked Nha Trang 6th in the top 25 tourist destinations in Asia in 2025. Previously, this magazine also selected Nha Trang as one of the best beach resorts for retirees worldwide. Online travel sites such as Agoda.com and Booking.com have also continuously announced Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa as the most searched tourist destinations by tourists to welcome the new year 2025.

In 2024, Khanh Hoa will welcome more than 10.8 million overnight visitors (equal to 135% of the plan and up 49% over the same period), including nearly 4.8 million international visitors (up 98%). Tourism revenue will reach more than VND 53.1 trillion (equal to 145.62% of the plan and up 56.47% over 2023). The goal of Khanh Hoa tourism industry in 2025 is to welcome 11.8 million visitors, including 5.2 million international visitors and tourism revenue of VND 60,000 billion.
