Ms. Nguyen Thi Nguyet, in Area 2, Ward III, Vi Thanh City, has been working as a social insurance and health insurance collector since 2020. Previously, Ms. Nguyet was the Chairwoman of the Women's Union of Ward III. During her time working, she actively promoted insurance policies to female members and residents. In 2016, she retired, and since then, she has had more time to actively mobilize people to participate in voluntary social insurance and health insurance, and is one of the collectors who has achieved good results in mobilizing people to participate in insurance.

Ms. Nguyet shared: “People in the area mainly do small business and farming , so I choose the right time to come and campaign. In my propaganda, I speak briefly and give specific examples so that people can easily understand and remember.”

To mobilize and convince people to participate in voluntary social insurance and family health insurance, Ms. Nguyet determined that she herself must have a firm grasp of knowledge and information about insurance policies. Therefore, she always spends time researching and learning about the regime and policies. Thanks to that, people's questions about issues related to social insurance and health insurance are always explained thoroughly and thoroughly by her.

According to Ms. Nguyet, voluntary social insurance and family health insurance are humane policies of the State. Therefore, together with the local government, she actively promotes and explains to people to participate. Regarding the voluntary social insurance policy, with a long payment period, when promoting it, she skillfully helped people understand that this is a superior policy, bringing great benefits to freelance workers, and at the same time, there are specific examples of pensioners so that everyone can feel secure in participating in voluntary social insurance. Regarding the health insurance policy, she cited cases of illness that were paid by the Health Insurance Fund at high costs. For households that have not yet managed to make ends meet, she is willing to pay in advance so that everyone can participate promptly.

It is her sincerity and enthusiasm that has helped her build deep trust in the community, so not only people in area 2, ward III but also many people in neighboring areas and localities trust and decide to participate in insurance when she mobilizes them.

The "extended arms" bring superior policies to the people

After being propagandized and explained by Ms. Nguyet, Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Xoàn, in area 5, ward 1, Vi Thanh city, participated in voluntary social insurance to have more "financial support" when she gets old.

Ms. Xoàn said: “Hearing Aunt Nguyet’s reasonable analysis, I decided to save a certain amount every month to pay for voluntary social insurance. Thinking about having a pension like a government official in the future, and also being given a free health insurance card, I feel very happy.”

With health insurance cards containing incorrect information, she quickly contacted the Social Insurance agency to correct them, creating convenience for health insurance participants. In particular, Ms. Nguyet always determined that "it is difficult to mobilize a person to participate in health insurance and voluntary social insurance, but to maintain it sustainably is twice as difficult", so she always accompanies the people throughout the participation process. "For those who participate in health insurance and voluntary social insurance, I record in the book the date of participation and the expiration date. Whenever the deadline is near and I do not go to their house, I call to remind them, to avoid people from interrupting their participation, affecting their rights", Ms. Nguyet said.

With skillful propaganda, Ms. Nguyet brought the policy to the people. Thanks to that, she contributed to the completion of voluntary social insurance and health insurance targets in the ward.

Not only Ms. Nguyet, many other social insurance and health insurance collectors in the province are always actively promoting and mobilizing people to participate in voluntary social insurance and family health insurance. Thanks to the positivity of social insurance and health insurance collectors, social security policies are increasingly spreading more widely and sustainably at the grassroots level.

To improve the knowledge and skills of the staff collecting social insurance and health insurance, the social insurance agency organized training courses to provide some contents in implementing the social insurance and health insurance collection process; skills to mobilize people to participate in social insurance and health insurance. At the same time, exchange and discuss difficulties related to propaganda and mobilization work for people to participate.

Currently, the province has 618 social insurance and health insurance collection staff, 231 collection points belonging to 2 social insurance and health insurance collection service organizations. According to the assessment of the social insurance agency, in recent times, social insurance and health insurance collection staff in the area have promoted their role as "extended arms" in bringing the policies of the Party and State to the people. The collection staff have "gone to every alley, knocked on every door" to sow the seeds of social security; organized collection and returned results to participants, creating trust in the implementation of insurance policies...
