In China, salted pork is very famous. This is a very common dish, almost every house has it, the price is not too expensive. This type of meat has a very unique flavor, loved by many people.

However, there is a man named Tran, living in Guangxi province, China who specializes in making this type of salted pork, but it is a very special type of meat. This person only uses the pig's leg, marinated in many different spices and herbs, then marinated in large jars for 5 years.

Many people worry that salting pork for so long will cause it to spoil, what will the taste be like?

When we researched, we found out that the process of making this type of meat is very elaborate. This is not mass-raised pork but is raised by villagers. Because it is not fed with animal feed, the meat is very firm and delicious.

After cleaning the meat, salt is spread all over the skin, layer after layer until everything is covered evenly. Finally, the pork is wrapped and placed in a large prepared barrel. The pig's feet are placed in the barrel, sprinkled with salt again, and finally covered with a layer of stone.

After 1 week, people will pour out all the salt and water, continue to cover the pork with many layers of salt and then put it back into the barrel. Each barrel like that has many hams inside, placed specifically in a large tank, neatly arranged.

After 1 month, the salt has completely penetrated the meat, so people take out the ham hock, wash it with clean water and the salt residue on it, and finally take it out to the yard to dry. This drying process takes a long time, because during the drying process, you need to carefully observe its color. The pork begins to firm up, if done correctly, this salted pork can be preserved for 3-5 years.

After 5 years, you will see the meat has a very special color, each layer of fat, each fiber of meat has an extremely attractive color. The meat can now be eaten immediately, no need to wash again, people often add to different stir-fried dishes or thinly slice as an appetizer, the flavor is wonderful.

The final step is to hang the dried meat in the room and continue to let it dry naturally, the room is always ventilated, doing so will preserve the meat longer. Of course, the longer the meat is kept, the higher the price, many people have to wait a long time to buy it.

Previously, many people were scared when they saw the pork hanging in this person's house, wondering if it was edible. However, after a businessman saw it, they came to discuss cooperation, and now the price to pay for a leg of salted ham from this person is very high.
