Temperature 0 degrees Celsius, frost covers many mountain peaks in Cao Bang, Yen Bai, Lao Cai

A strange and interesting ice phenomenon has appeared on many high mountain peaks in the provinces of Cao Bang, Yen Bai , and Lao Cai.

The cold air has increased in the Northern region, causing the temperature to drop sharply, especially in mountainous areas where the temperature has dropped below 0 degrees Celsius, causing frost.

At the top of Ta Xua mountain (Yen Bai), the phenomenon of frost appeared since yesterday afternoon (January 11). Many tourists who are passionate about mountain climbing have been here to admire this rare sight of the year.

Early this morning (January 12), at the top of Phja Oac ( Cao Bang ) at 1,931m high, and the top of Lao Than (Lao Cai) at 2,826m high, the temperature dropped below 0 degrees Celsius, accompanied by high humidity, frost and light drizzle. This caused the treetops, ground and rocks in the area to be covered with a thin layer of ice and snow, creating a beautiful scene.

According to the forecast of the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, in the Northwestern region in the next few days, the weather will be very cold. In the highlands, there is a possibility of frost and frost.
