Receiving Mr. Kudryashov Sergei Ivanovich, General Director of Zarubezhneft Joint Stock Company, one of Vietnam's leading partners in the oil and gas sector, General Secretary To Lam affirmed that energy and oil and gas cooperation is one of the most important pillars in the comprehensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and Russia.
Affirming that the cooperation projects being implemented by the two enterprises are very effective, Mr. Sergey Kudrashov said that the two sides are currently coordinating to develop natural gas projects and LNG warehouse projects to build a modern liquefied gas supply chain to serve the Vietnamese and regional markets.
In addition, the two sides are promoting research and implementation of renewable energy projects such as offshore wind power and green hydrogen. Zarubezhneft leaders affirmed their desire to promote sustainable and long-term cooperation with Vietnamese partners, hoping that the General Secretary would continue to pay attention and create favorable conditions for Zarubezhneft to expand the scope of cooperation on the basis of harmonizing interests and for the common development of the two countries.
The General Secretary welcomed the cooperation results between Zarubezhneft Joint Stock Company and the Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group (PVN) in recent times, and acknowledged the effective coordination between the Vietnamese Ministry of Industry and Trade , the Russian Ministry of Energy in general, and Russian companies with Vietnamese partners.
He affirmed that Vietnam always supports businesses of the two countries to expand cooperation on the basis of each country's laws and the Vietnam-Russia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
Receiving Mr. Vladimir Yevtushenkov - founder of AFK Sistema Public Joint Stock Company - the General Secretary emphasized that Vietnam always attaches importance to promoting economic - trade, scientific - technical cooperation with leading Russian enterprises and investors, including AFK Sistema.
At the meeting, AFK Sistema leaders informed about the projects that the company is implementing in Vietnam and the projects that are expected to be implemented in the near future. Mr. Vladimir Yevtushenkov emphasized that AFK Sistema identifies Vietnam as one of the company's top priority markets in the region and is ready to expand long-term investment cooperation in Vietnam.
Stating that Vietnam always listens and creates the best conditions for foreign enterprises, the General Secretary asked Vietnamese ministries and sectors to pay attention and closely coordinate with AFK Sistema to support the company to soon implement related investment projects in Vietnam.
He affirmed that Vietnam will create favorable conditions for AFK Sistema to soon implement cooperation projects in Vietnam, especially in the fields of information technology, semiconductors, healthcare, high technology... in line with the orientation of breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and national digital transformation.

Receiving Mr. Yuri Maximo, co-founder of Positive Technology Company, the General Secretary welcomed the company as a potential destination for cooperation investment projects, especially in the field of cyber security.
He said that during this official visit, the two countries signed many cooperation documents, including in the field of science and technology, which is an important basis for businesses and ministries of both sides to coordinate in the coming time.
For his part, Mr. Yuri Maximo said that the company always focuses on updating and introducing new approaches to ensuring network security; thereby continuously changing products and services to differentiate themselves from the market.
Informing the General Secretary about some outstanding results in the cooperation process with a number of Vietnamese enterprises in recent times, Mr. Yuri Maximo expressed his hope that the Party, State and Government of Vietnam will continue to support and create favorable conditions for the company to participate in a number of projects in the field of science and technology, thereby continuing to strengthen the solidarity between the people of the two countries.
Welcoming the company's approach to cybersecurity, the General Secretary affirmed that he would direct relevant agencies to consider supporting businesses in finding information and suitable partners in Vietnam.

Also on May 11, when receiving Chairman of the Sea Council, former Secretary of the Russian Security Council Patrusev, General Secretary To Lam said that he had a very successful meeting with Russian President Putin, as well as meetings with Russian leaders and expressed his desire to further promote relations between the two countries.
Mr. Patrusev said the two countries have carried out many projects in the fields of defense, security and health, and hope to cooperate closely in the maritime sector.
Introducing the functions and tasks of the Maritime Council, Mr. Patrusev suggested that Vietnam cooperate with this council, contributing to maintaining maritime security and safety in the Pacific, respecting international law and participating in organizing naval exercises, search and rescue, and shipbuilding.
Appreciating Mr. Patrusev's affection for Vietnam, the General Secretary basically agreed with the proposed initiatives.
Emphasizing that this is a good opportunity to develop maritime cooperation between the two countries, he suggested continuing discussions to set out a specific schedule, as well as signing cooperation agreements not only in the military field but also in the fields of maritime economy, shipbuilding, logistics, connection with Russia's maritime transport system, scientific research, and responding to non-traditional security challenges./.
