Recently, the Organizing Committee of the Competition to Learn about the Traditions of the Industry and Trade Sector presented awards to 9 individuals and units that won prizes from the first round of the online Competition (September 2024).
At the end of the first round of the competition (September 2024) in the form of an online competition, the Organizing Committee has judged and selected the winning individuals and units including: 1 First prize, 2 Second prizes, 3 Third prizes and 3 actively participating units.
Forms of awarding include: Direct and indirect (sending certificates by post ) to individuals and units receiving the award.
According to the representative of the Organizing Committee of the contest, after more than 1 month of launching and officially implementing the contest from September 1 to September 30, according to the statistics of the Organizing Committee, there were 2,801 contestants, both inside and outside the Industry and Trade sector participating in the vote.
Promoting the pioneering spirit, the Organizing Committee has recognized the active and leading participation of many Departments of Industry and Trade, petroleum companies, electricity companies, many universities in the Industry and Trade sector... across provinces and cities.

Unable to hide her joy when she unexpectedly received the announcement of winning the prize from the Organizing Committee, Ms. Dao Thi Thu Trang (Binh Duong province), the reader who won the First Prize of the Competition to Learn about the Traditions of the Industry and Trade Sector, shared: “I learned about the program through reading the Industry and Trade Newspaper and was introduced by my colleagues. The competition has helped me gain more knowledge about the history and traditions of the Vietnamese Industry and Trade Sector . Honored to win the second prize of the contest, reader Nguyen Thi Lan Huong (Tien Giang province) said: “Winning the second prize in the online contest organized by the Ministry of Industry and Trade is a result beyond my expectations. I feel extremely surprised, touched and proud. It is not only a testament to my efforts and hard work, but also a motivation for me to continue learning and developing, consolidating more social knowledge to serve my work and life.

As one of three units honored to win the award for Active Participation Unit in the first phase, Mr. Chu Van Tuan - Head of the Center for Communications and Business Relations, University of Electricity said that, implementing the direction of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, after receiving the official dispatch from the Ministry, the school leaders organized the implementation and assigned relevant units to seriously implement it.
“The award is a great source of spiritual encouragement for leaders, lecturers, civil servants, employees, trainees and students of the school to continue to participate more actively in learning about the industry's traditions through the next competitions, in order to spread and contribute to the success of the competition in general, and spread the values of the Industry and Trade sector in particular,” said Mr. Tuan.

Also according to Mr. Giap Van Duong - Secretary of the Youth Union of the University of Economics and Industrial Technology - representative of one of the units honored to win the award for the Most Active Participating Unit in the first round, said: Immediately after receiving the directive from the Party Committee of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, thanks to the active participation of the school's leadership along with the response of lecturers, civil servants, employees, students, and pupils of the school, the contest was spread and received enthusiastic participation, especially from students in the school. According to the school's statistics, more than 1,000 members of the school registered to participate in the first round of the online contest.
“The contest to learn about the tradition of the Industry and Trade sector is very meaningful, not only helping cadres and workers gain more historical knowledge about the sector but also helping young people raise awareness about the role and importance of the Industry and Trade sector for the country's economic development” – Mr. Duong shared.
Besides, according to Mr. Duong, in addition to actively participating in online competitions through rounds, with the content of artistic composition of poems, songs, photos, videos about the Industry and Trade sector and the Vietnam Industry and Trade Union; creating logos and symbols about the Industry and Trade sector also received a lot of attention and investment from students.

Previously, on August 13, 2024, the Party Executive Committee of the Ministry of Industry and Trade issued Plan No. 23 - KH/BCSĐ on organizing a Contest to learn about the tradition of the Industry and Trade sector. This is one of the most important activities of the Ministry of Industry and Trade towards the 75th anniversary of the Industry and Trade sector's tradition day (May 14, 1951 - May 14, 2026).
On August 14, 2024, in Hanoi, the Ministry of Industry and Trade held the Launching Ceremony of the Competition to learn about the traditions of the Industry and Trade sector. The competition aims to honor traditional values, promote the position and stature of the Industry and Trade sector in the process of formation, construction and development since its inception; contribute to educating traditions, arousing the pride of officials, civil servants, public employees and workers in the Industry and Trade sector.
At the same time, the contest also helps raise public awareness of the role and importance of the Industry and Trade sector to the country's socio-economic development; raise awareness of the whole society about the activities of the Industry and Trade sector, thereby gaining social consensus and people's attention for the development of the Industry and Trade sector; encourage creativity and participation of all classes of people in learning and contributing to the development of the Industry and Trade sector.
The contest will be launched from August 15, 2024 to February 3, 2025 in 2 forms: Online competition (including 5 rounds, 1 round per month) and through works.
