Hau My Commune is bustling on the day of the announcement of the Resolution on merging administrative units.

(ABO) On the morning of June 30, at Hau My commune bridge (Hau My Trinh commune, Cai Be district, Tien Giang province before the merger), the Ceremony to announce the resolutions and decisions of the Central and local governments on merging administrative units, establishing Party organizations, appointing Party committees, People's Councils, and Fatherland Fronts of provinces, communes, and wards (hereinafter referred to as the Ceremony) took place. The Ceremony was broadcast live from the main bridge at Ap Bac Hall, Provincial Conference Center in My Tho.

Attending the ceremony at the commune bridge point were comrade Nguyen Trong Tan, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Ap Bac Newspaper and Tien Giang Radio and Television Station; along with local leaders and a large number of local people.

According to the reporter, from early morning, the atmosphere in Hau My commune became bustling and excited. Preparations for the ceremony were carried out carefully and solemnly: National flags were hung on the roads and in front of local households, the landscape was cleaned and decorated with slogans and propaganda banners arranged solemnly, showing the spirit of a big festival.

Local people, from the elderly to the young, were present in large numbers to watch and respond to this important event.

Comrade Phan Hong Khanh, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Hau My Commune (based on the merger of Hau My Trinh, Hau My Bac A, Hau My Bac B communes) shared: “Following the policy of the Politburo and the Secretariat on implementing a two-level local government, streamlining the apparatus to be close to the people, directly with the people, grasping their thoughts and aspirations to promptly resolve them. This is a very meaningful moment for Hau My Commune in particular and the whole province in general.

The preparation work was carried out seriously and thoroughly by the Standing Committee of the new commune Party Committee in coordination with the old commune Party Committee with a high sense of responsibility, from the material facilities to the reception of delegates and local people attending the Ceremony; as well as the hanging of the national flag on the roads in the commune was carried out synchronously and completed on schedule; the local radio station was directed to propagate the Ceremony to the people. From the Party Committee, the government to all classes of people in Hau My commune, all showed their consensus and readiness to enter a new stage of development.

Before the historic moment, local people shared their feelings. Ms. Vo Thi Ngoc Huyen, 34 years old, a teacher at Phan Luong Truc Primary School, expressed: “I am very moved and honored to be present at this important historical moment. I believe that the merger of administrative units will create more favorable conditions for the management and development of the local economy and society.”
Mr. Phan Van Quyen, 63 years old, living in My Tuong B hamlet, emotionally said: "I have experienced many stages of change in the country. Today, attending the merger announcement ceremony, I feel a great change in the locality and this is an important milestone, opening a new path for future generations."
