Strange worms appear in Phu Hoa residential area

Regarding the information that thousands of "strange" worms appeared in Phu Hoa residential area (Phu Loi ward, Ho Chi Minh City), the ward leader said that they are handling the matter.

On the afternoon of November 15, many worms appeared on the road, at the base of trees and crawled into people's houses in Phu Hoa residential area. People used brooms to sweep them away but the worms still did not disappear.

People in this residential area are worried because the number of worms is so large and it is not yet determined whether it will affect their health or not.

Worms cover the green trees

According to the locals, the worms have been appearing for several days now and are getting worse. They have been sweeping them away with brooms, but they still can’t get rid of them all.

Some people use fly and mosquito repellent to kill this worm but it is not effective. Some children have developed red, itchy blisters, suspected to be due to contact with the worm's hair.

People want the government to soon deal with the "strange" worms that have appeared in residential areas.

Some households in the area have to close their doors all day but worms still crawl into their houses through cracks.

Houses close to trees along the road are most infested with worms.

A representative of the People's Committee of Phu Loi ward said that they were aware of the incident and had sent specialized agencies to take measures to handle it.
