Many unique projects at the Creative Startup Ideas Competition for female students 2024

On the morning of November 19, the National Final Round of the “Genesis - Creative Startup Ideas for Female Students 2024” Contest took place at the Vietnam Women’s Academy. There were 16 best ideas from universities and academies nationwide participating.

The startup projects of the 16 competing teams are all very creative and unique, from mental health care applications, elderly care service applications, recycled fashion , glass waste treatment solutions, to startup ideas for bamboo lamps, decorative art lamps from eggshells or creative art-related tourism ideas....

Compared to women entrepreneurs, female students who start businesses do not have much experience, but they have the advantage of youth, intelligence, and the ability to apply information technology to business... Through this competition, we hope to have a generation of female students with creative and bold startup ideas and hope to have the support of businesses and schools so that those ideas can be realized in the future.

Sharing about the project "Developing tourism together with organizing events through unique art performances with the theme "Artistic journey - Connecting tourism", Nguyen Thi Cam Tien (Forever team, student of Event Management, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology) said: "Our project aims to develop tourism through unique art events, where cultural and artistic performances are designed to highlight the tours. We hope to connect and convey the diverse cultural beauty of each region of Vietnam to tourists, through the light performances at the program".

Cam Tien said that she and her friends in the Forever group are all students majoring in Event Management, so participating in the Creative Startup Ideas Competition from their own major will help them a lot in their future work.

"Since my first year, I have learned a trade by organizing events at school. As for our Forever group, we have organized 3 art events. Each event attracted more than 500 spectators, mostly students. Tickets sold at the event were 150,000 VND/ticket. I have noticed that young people are quite interested in culture and art. We take advantage of art clubs at school, from which we create cultural and artistic performances that attract young people. Studying Event Management and having a start-up idea from our major has given us a lot of experience and important skills," Cam Tien said.

The contest creates a useful playground for students in general, and female students in particular, studying at universities and colleges to apply the knowledge and skills they have been equipped with; expand communication and exchange of knowledge and experience among students.

When participating in the competition, students in general, and female students in particular, have the opportunity to meet and interact with potential entrepreneurs and investors; support female students' start-up plans (team leaders develop ideas and start-up plans) so that they can realize their ideas while still in school.

After the exciting competition, the Organizing Committee awarded 17 prizes including: 3 First prizes, 3 Second prizes, 3 Third prizes, 7 Encouragement prizes, and 1 most favorite prize.

In the Business Board, First Prize belongs to Bamboo Light Team: Bamboo Lamp - Hoa Binh University.

In the Social category, the first prize went to StarEdu Team: Building a learning material system to support the education of escape skills for primary school students - Hanoi Capital University.

In the APP category, the first prize went to Team SNAPBACK: Point accumulation and cashback application, bringing economic benefits to consumers - Hung Vuong University, Ho Chi Minh City.

The most favorite prize belongs to StarEdu Team: Building a learning material system to support the education of escape skills for primary school students - Hanoi Capital University.

The contest "Genesis - Creative startup ideas for female students 2024" is implemented within the framework of Project 939 - Supporting women to start a business of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union to continue raising awareness of female students about the Party and State's policies and laws on startups; Promote the spirit and readiness to start a business of students, especially female students, contributing to the implementation of national goals on enterprise development and the National Strategy on gender equality; The contest searches for and selects creative and feasible startup plans to support startups according to Project 939; creates a premise for expanding the startup movement among female students; Encourages and develops creative thinking, dynamism, daring to think and do, thereby creating inspiration and passion.
