Promote products in key tourist areas
From June 21 to 28, the Department of Industry and Trade of Bac Giang coordinated to organize a series of activities to promote and introduce lychee at key tourist destinations such as Da Nang, Nha Trang (Khanh Hoa), Quy Nhon (Binh Dinh) and Ho Chi Minh City. This program was implemented for the first time to enhance the recognition of the Luc Ngan lychee brand to consumers across the country through tourist destinations with a large number of visitors.

In these cities, product display booths are located in easily recognizable locations, decorated eye-catchingly, creating an attractive experience space in the supermarket. Notably, at MM Mega Market An Phu Supermarket (Ho Chi Minh City), many people lined up to buy lychees, showing the strong attraction of this midland specialty. The bustling atmosphere was also recorded in Quy Nhon and Da Nang - where customers enthusiastically participated in activities such as lychee eating competitions, tasting fresh lychees, etc. Events held on weekends attract more locals and tourists.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Huong, a resident of Quy Nhon city, shared: “The first time I tasted fresh Luc Ngan lychee, it felt wonderful. I bought a whole nest to use and give to relatives.”
Another notable highlight in the series of activities promoting Luc Ngan litchi this year is that for the first time, Bac Giang province organized booths in industrial parks such as Van Trung, Hoa Phu and apartment buildings, densely populated residential areas in major cities. This activity was implemented with the active coordination of localities and businesses, creating favorable conditions to bring litchi directly to consumers, especially the labor force and urban residents.
According to the representative of the Department of Industry and Trade, this is a new and practical step to expand the domestic agricultural product distribution channel, contributing to the effective consumption of main-season lychees. At the same time, the activity also contributes to spreading the Luc Ngan Bac Giang lychee brand to a large number of consumers across the country.
Synchronize support measures
In 2025, Bac Giang province entered the lychee season with a proactive attitude, expectation and determination to continue affirming the brand "Luc Ngan Bac Giang Lychee" in the domestic and international markets. It is expected that the total output of the whole province will reach nearly 200 thousand tons. Thanks to strict compliance with the production process according to VietGAP and GlobalGAP standards, the quality of lychees this year has been significantly improved. The fruit is beautiful, uniform in appearance, sweet and delicious, ensuring food safety and meeting export requirements.

Since the beginning of the season, Bac Giang has implemented a series of trade promotion activities, connecting supply and demand, supporting domestic and foreign consumption. More than 80% of the output is consumed in the domestic market through wholesale market systems, traditional and modern distribution channels.
In particular, the province organizes the program "Luc Ngan Lychee Week - Pride of Vietnamese Agricultural Products" (from June 27 to July 3, 2025). Accordingly, the Department of Industry and Trade connects the list of gardeners and cooperatives with products that meet the standards according to the geographical indication recognized by Japan; products that meet VietGAP, GlobalGAP, and organic standards; the Department of Agriculture and Environment guides farmers and cooperatives on harvesting, preliminary processing, packaging, and preservation techniques to ensure lychees meet standards, quality, and hygiene and safety to meet the requirements of the domestic market and serve exports... The program is also accompanied by TikTok Vietnam and Sendo Farm. These units have brought Luc Ngan lychees to online supermarkets and multi-platform livestreams to promote and quickly reach consumers.
Along with the domestic market, Bac Giang is actively promoting lychee exports to major markets such as China, Japan, the United States, Europe, Canada and Australia. Recently, Vifoco Bac Giang Import-Export Joint Stock Company has made an impressive milestone by successfully exporting about 60 tons of lychee to the United States by sea. This is an important step in the journey to conquer a demanding market with high requirements for product quality and preservation time. According to Mr. Nguyen Xuan Viet, Director of the Company, these shipments are preserved with modern technology, helping the lychee stay fresh for a long time, thereby meeting the conditions for long-distance transportation by sea while still maintaining the desired quality.
During the working trip to Europe, the provincial trade promotion delegation worked with Vietnamese diplomatic agencies, organized product promotion, and initially attracted positive attention from local consumers. Mr. La Van Nam, Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade of Bac Giang, commented: "The province's lychee is loved by people in many countries thanks to its outstanding quality, beautiful appearance and clear growing area codes. The export potential is huge."
Currently, in the province's key lychee growing areas, the atmosphere of purchasing, transporting and consuming lychees is taking place vigorously at hundreds of weighing points. Localities mobilize the entire political system to join hands to support people from harvesting to distribution. In addition, propaganda work to preserve the reputation, quality of products and brands is also promoted, creating the most favorable conditions for domestic and foreign businesses and traders to survey, sign contracts and consume products.
With systematic, creative and drastic solutions, this year's lychee season promises to be a bumper crop and have good prices, contributing to increasing income and bringing complete joy to lychee growers in Bac Giang.
