Many primary schools enroll students online early for first grade

Due to the merger of administrative units at all levels, this year, enrollment in many schools was done about 1 month earlier, starting in early June instead of July like previous school years.

Notably, many primary schools have implemented online enrollment for first grade after being encouraged by theeducation sector. Previously, only junior high and high schools in localities applied this enrollment method.

Online enrollment saves time and effort for parents and reduces the pressure of receiving applications for school teachers before the new school year.

Teacher Trinh Thi Diep, admissions officer at Dong Da Primary School (Vinh Yen) said: “In previous years, the school had to arrange 2-3 admissions rooms with 5-6 teachers to receive applications, but this year we only need 1 room with 1-2 staff and teachers.

Direct application submission causes overload due to the large number of parents coming, but sometimes teachers sit around doing nothing because there is no one. This is the first year the school has implemented online application acceptance and the work has been smooth and effective. On the school's website, there is a phone number for the admissions officer, so when parents have questions or need support, we will guide and answer them directly."

From June 3 to 7, Dong Da Primary School will start accepting online registration applications. In the following days, we will spend time supporting parents who have difficulties in the online registration process, or who need to submit applications directly, and send additional documents related to student records.

On June 9, a few parents with problems with their records came to Dong Da Primary School to complete related procedures.

Mr. Pham Huy Hai, Dong Da ward (Vinh Yen) said: “I find the online enrollment form for grade 1 very convenient, helping parents save time and effort in traveling. With just a computer, or even a phone, at home I can access the website to register online very quickly and the results are displayed immediately on the system.”

In the 2025-2026 school year, Dong Da Primary School has 165 first grade student quotas. After 5 days of online enrollment, the school received nearly 200 online registration applications.

It is expected that online enrollment in grade 1 at primary schools in localities will be completed by mid-June 2025 at the latest.
