Prolonged heavy rains and rising water levels in the Bac Giang River have caused many communes in Lang Son to be deeply flooded and isolated, seriously affecting people's lives. The government and functional forces have been on duty all night, supporting the movement of property and evacuating people from dangerous areas.

At the "flood center" of That Khe, 10/33 villages were flooded, about 800 households had water entering their houses, 500-600 households in low-lying areas were evacuated to safety. National Highway 4A through the commune was flooded for more than 1 km, traffic was paralyzed, vehicles had to change direction to other routes. Soldiers, police and local forces worked continuously at night to ensure people's safety. The whole province had more than 2,000 households affected, of which 3 houses collapsed, 63 houses had landslides, 36 houses had to be urgently evacuated; nearly 2,000 households were flooded from 30 cm to 2 m, many areas were isolated. The rain and floods also caused landslides, inundating more than 150 traffic points, landslides of 10,000 m³ of earth and rock, broken electric poles causing power outages in Nhat Hoa commune and disrupting communication in some remote villages.
